Did they find anything more interesting in your colon than on the Antiques Roadshow, talkSAFT?

Good match thread as usual Ska'd. Great stuff.

Although a point at the Stadium of Light wouldn't be sniffed at, a win would distance us a little from the bottom three. With Gamboa looking like getting a sniff of action and Mulumbu & Olsson nearing return, we have an 'embarassment of riches'. Lets hope TP can select the correct starting XI to take the three points.

Going back to the victory in 2004, I was at the game and remember the defence playing well, especially Sean Gregan who was outstanding on the day. Also remember Lee Hughes getting a very hard time from the Mackems while warming up during the game.
Got quite volatile outside the stadium after the match too, although I think it was the home support fighting amongst themselves because they were missing out on automatic promotion. To be fair to them, many wished us all the best in the Premiership.

Remember 73. Final exams for combat engineering course. One of the answers in the test was Sunderland.
Examiner in a broad Mackem accent... "What`s this?"
DD "Benford 10/7 cement mixer"
Examiner "Who`s going to win the FA Cup?"
DD "Sunderland".
Examiner "Passed"

The outcome for this game is inevitable.

Baggies win….. Poyet sacked in the morning.

I hope to see another confident performance after last week’s heroics.

Prediction: 3-0 Albion

That 1-0 win so memorable particularly for an apoplectic Jason McAteer at full time on Sky Sports complaining how unfair it was.
Bonum vinum laetificat cor hominis.

Brown Ideye will score today along with Stephane Sessegnon.  Baggie win 0-2

OK, if we win this one I'll shut up for ever about pace, guile and full-backs. Promise.

Strange seeing Gardner out on the wing when we have McManaman and Sess on the bench
