Big, strong, skill ful, fast, can head a ball - a real number 9. We'd better hang onto him this summer!!

Did anyone else see that header and be reminded of Big Cyrille in his prime. Thought Gardner was fantastic, a brilliant pass to Dawson for the first then stunning strike that hit the bar, massive

Can't under estimate that header,

There was no pace on the deflected cross at all,

The power all came from Ideye's neck Thumb up

To put this turnaround into perspective, give this a thought: if you'd walked into a pub full of Albion fans last Saturday night and announced that within a week, we'd be treating Brown Ideye as our star striker, giving him a standing ovation and even comparing him to Cyrille Regis, they'd probably have had you sectioned.

Great work, Bobby.

Just a theory, but I don't think that the bloke in the no.9 shirt is the same bloke who was hovering round the Hawthorns a couple of weeks ago. His haircut is suspicious - nobody could have grown their hair on the sides that quickly.
I reckon the previous Brown Ideye was an imposter who played for some Sunday afternoon team in Smethwick, and the scouts have finally found the original.

He's obviously a player who thrives on confidence and now he's scored a couple, he's full of himself.

Complete transformation of a player who looked weak, slow and poor in the early weeks. Just hope he
can stay confident because he looked the part yesterday and is linking up with Saido nicely.

We all called him "Noah" Ideye,
'Cos centre halves had nought to fear.
But HE'S proved US wrong,
So let's get a song
