Summer Rebuild 2023/24 Season
Incoming Dean smith announcement teatime shithole island time zone .
Be interesting who he brings with him as coach ..what we will get with Smith is more of a Bruce approach ( manager) so it is going to be very important who he brings in as top coach ..even more so with the shower of shit we have who can't do the basics of technical football .

No more 3 at the back passing it into our own net either As he likes 4 across the back this will mean we need proper defenders on the transfer list again and not poncy wingbacks ..it will be wingers he wants !!! Which we are also very short on !!! On the forwards he likes playing a 4-3-2-1 a lot so this will suit Windass Pato and Gregory but not smith as weve seen last season ...wilks is going to have to become a very good winger as well with this thoery because he's no good in anything less than 3 up top , maybe he will solve a problem in the short run ?

Ideally we are 8 players away from anything that can challenge a play off push but realistic we will be lucky to get 3 decent players in the positions I've mentioned to get midtable safety should everyone stay fit ( not happening though it never does ) ...I think the approach of transfers will be a player in each part of the system defender, winger, midfield and a striker will come in the shape of some loan kiddie from the premiership who we've never heard of !!!

Reece James has signed, hope the new manager likes him Huh

Thought he did okay in L1, can only see him as a backup in the Championship imo

Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.

Yeah, he's only a squad player at this level.
This isn't a signing to be excited about for me.

I am happy about this signing, he is versatile and performed well at CH and wing back, so if we do move to a flat back 4 then he will fit in nicely.

If he can keep fit he'll be good for some games etc..a good squad player nothing more for me ..he struggled at this level for Blackpool remember that's why we had him in the first place .
Maybe he knows who the manager is ..Dean smith thing is getting streched!!!

Maybe hennegan fancy's his chances now after all he's still training with us ?

It would obviously be an easy signing and solving backup issues on the cheap no doubt !!!

Some pub league team wants Wilks ...I say get him off the wage bill he's shite Wink

Maybe he can improve under Smith. Let's face it, all they did was run round cones with DM Doh

Proper coaching, no matter how old you are, will help your game along with a proper game plan Cool

Many will be able to.improve under smith due to the fact he's a manager not a coach and players will understand they won't get chance after chance after chance I should imagine..

Squad update is we now have 15 players and 3 kiddies ..as it stands with what we've got I think we can achieve not getting relegated maybe between 15th and 18th place with hopefully never being in the dogshit bottom.3 .

Boring stats time we are allowed to name 9 players on the bench next season with a total of 5 substitutions if I've got that right ?

All teams even Citeh and Arsenal use cones and woosies in training and for warm ups. It’s all about patterns of play, space restrictions , small group drills and fitness/agility. I have garage full from when I coached my daughters teams from U5 to U 19.along with picking up my national D license along the way.
