LAST MATCH

Another game, another win and by our favourite score-line at the moment 1-0. We got the perfect start when Dawson's long ball  was flicked on by Smith & Windass finished clinically. Portsmouth put some pressure on but we defended well as usual and restricted them to half chances. Onto the second half and Dawson saved from Bishop while at the other end Windass headed narrowly wide. Iorfa was sent off for a second yellow with 15 minutes to go but our defense held firm for another 3 points.

THE MATCH

Next up and Bolton make the short journey to Hillsborough. Bolton are having a good season and currently lie in the last playoff spot, but there recent form has been up & down and have Wycombe and Peterborough breathing down there necks so should be an exciting final 2 months. There main danger is Dion Charles who has 16 goals so far this season and they also have ex owl Keiran Lee on there books. They are managed by Ian Evatt who has been in charge since 2020.

Nice one, Kev
So it sounds like they've sent the right ref for the job.
Most of our first team will be suspended for the Barnsley game Laugh

Changed my prediction. I've a very uneasy feeling about this game.

No idea why Iorfa's second yellow was a booking and in today's game that challenge on Dele-Bashiru would be a red card 9 times out of 10!! Still we did the best thing by just shutting them down and taking the three points home with us.

With Iorfa suspended I would expect Palmer to move the CH and Hunt to come in a WB. Will Johnson return after his ban? Would be a bit harsh on Brown who has done well in the three games, or we could see James get a game as well. Hopefully Byers is fit, if not then Adeniran or Dele-Bashiru will slot into midfield. Rest should be unchanged.

We've now got 1 million games in ten days after this so there will be some swapping and changing plus iorfa and possibly byers out ? But I would suggest that Friday we shouldn't think about the future and go and smash these clowns ..it will have Plymouth and Ipswich hopefully shiting themselves..and as they both have easy games on paper ..only mind games might work against them !

Fingers crossed, Imre.

I don't worry about our games so much anymore I think we're a pretty solid unit and we're earning promotion on merit.
It's these corrupt stooges that worry me, we can't afford the suspensions during a period of high fatigue.
You can bet the opposition will be simulating too as that's commonplace now. I respect Moore for not taking us down that road, I used to hate it when Fessi flopped at times. It's just disgraceful behaviour for any professional.

Its 4 games in 13 days, not ideal but could have been worse.

The Barnsley v Ipswich game on the 25th March has been postponed because of international call ups, I wonder where they will fit that in as the Dingles are playing every 3-4 days for the next 4-5 weeks.
