LAST MATCH

1-0 to the Wednesday Boys as we made it 21 unbeaten and remained top of the league. It wasn't a pretty first half but we did come  closest to scoring when Windass hit the bar following a corner. Onto the 2nd half and we upped our game. Flint and Windass tested there keeper but it was third time lucky when Bannan fed Brown and his cross come shot found its way past the keeper. Brown then made a good challenge to deny Poku a equalizer. We saw the rest of the game out fairly comfortably.

THE MATCH

Next up and a long trip south to play Portsmouth. We drew with these on the opening day of the season, 3-3, when our defence went AWOL in the second half. Pompey had been in good form but lost to Barnsley Tuesday night and are 9 points off the playoffs so look like staying in L1 for another season. Colby Bishop is there main threat, with 19 goals so far this season. John Mousinho was appointed on the 20th Jan and they have won 6 of their 11 games with Mousinho in charge

Seem to recall that BenT Oner wasn’t too bad last time we had him in charge but the time before he was awfully biased the wrong way. Hopefully after that dive by Plymouth last night the officials will be keeping a closer eye on their games and not awarding them anymore dubious pens.

It wasn't too bad when we were 3rd.
Beating Plymouth to go above them was not liked at all and from thar point decisions have become frequently dubious and it is absolutely no coincidence at all.
Again, if we cast our minds back to the relegation season where the EFL did absolutely everything to fk us over whilst saving Derby. The penalties all season against us, the endless red and yellow cards.

It's clear they'll do it again and have been.
The longer we stay top the more they're going to fk with us and continue to push Plymouth.
I'm already thinking about a fiver on the Derby game for penalties and red cards against us

We have had a foot of snow here in Sheffield, they have had some rain in Portsmouth but the game will definitely be going ahead.
