Exclamation
Why cant Saido Keep his Gob shut......

IMHO he is alienating himself from the fans ..........

Whatever next, another we have stood by through thick and thin and he keeps digging away at that hole of his,......

Absolute Pelters on Twitter for him and rightly so Angry

Striker Berahino told Sky Sports News that he was taking care of his “short-terms right now” but that if he helped the Albion in their relegation battle and scored as many goals as he could, then he was sure “the fans wouldn't mind me pushing on and moving on to bigger and better things”.

Well played Saido Thumb down

A bit extreme.  Lets remember that any comment he has made will be twisted any way possible by the media to sell more advertising space in what ever form of media the reporter represents.

The actual article was written by Steve Howey a Newcastle has-been, where SB was alleged to have said that "I’ve got to stay focused on what I’m doing right now, which is scoring the goals and keeping West Brom in the Premier League. “If I can keep them in the Premier League and score as many goals as I can, I’m pretty sure the fans wouldn’t mind me pushing on and going on to bigger things”.

Why should we really object to that?  We moan when players kiss the badge one second and the next they are gone.  All SB has done is be honest and say I want to progress my career, (which in honesty he probably can not do with us at the moment) but in order to do that "I have to perform well and score a lot of goals.  If I do that the fans will not mind".

Well here is one fan that will say, go out score us another 12 goals before the end of the season, move to Liverpool for £25+ mil, to sit on the bench and I will still applaud you when you come back.

Was he stupid to make the comments in an interview, maybe.

It is a lot harder to get on the kids back though for telling the truth and stating something which any fan would know in their heart anyway.

What an arrogant twat!! This is a kid who has been with you guys since the age of 12, come up through the ranks to eventually get into the first team, and for all the effort and work your coaches and staff have put into him, this is how he repays that faith they had!! There is so little loyalty left in football these day but I would have expected more than this from him, particualry after his off the field antics and the way the club have stuck by him!!

I don't mind him thinking these things but why be so disrespectful to the fans,

Keane is already at a big club, but lets take Ings & Austin, they do not go round shouting their mouths off pumping up investors into a move for them,
He has already stated he wanted to go, and guess what all this just a day after the transfer window shuts.

His attitude stinks to me and compared to those mentioned above it must be in the Sewers,

What does Lescott think a guy who has played champions League football and won Premiership titles ?

He has not proved that much yet , If he had just stayed quiet until the end of the season lets his feet do the talking and helped us to safety i for one would wish him all the best,

Its just the way he has gone about it all Confused

I know that we can't nowadays expect the same club loyalty as was once the case.

The days of players like Bomber and Gerrard are long gone but, why stir up a hornets nest just after the transfer window closes?

Is he upset because one of the 'big clubs' didn't show any interest by making a bid in the January window?

Does he really think that spouting off like this is an aid to team unity?

Or is he simply being totally selfish and showing absolutely no loyalty to the club that nurtured him and helped him become the player he is today? Not to mention helping him and his family adapt to a new life away from the war torn Country of his birth.

I hope that when the end of season comes one of the 'big boys' makes an offer so immense that we snap their hands off and can't accept it quickly enough.

I hope that he then spends the next ten years warming someone's bench getting an odd ten minutes playing time here and there and, wishing that he hadn't been so bl***y stupid.

Meanwhile Mr Berahino get on with the job that you are more than adequately paid for and score the goals that will ensure that this GREAT CLUB stays in the greed league for another season. Angry

Be careful what you wish for saido, another Scott Sinclair in the making, big money move to a 'big' club only to sit on the bench when they realise you are not as good as you say are, and watch any career you had dive into a round of loans to the championship before before your dream move to Turkey.
There's no doubt saido has potential and some talent, but what he does have in abundance is an over inflated high opinion of himself. It was notable that none of the big clubs actually made any serious enquiry about him in the window and I rather suspect that all the so called interest in him was generated by his 'advisors' and the misguided lad himself.
Personally, if anyone was foolish enough to offer anywhere near 20 million for him I'd snap there hand off. Good, but not that good.

The "big" Clubs will also have noted that he's a greedy get when he's got the ball. He never plays the simple ball to a player in space, preferring to up his goals-per-game stats.
