Two things that would help you to score more goals (a necessity) would be to get the ball to Sorba Thomas in more space, so don't play to him all the time and make it quite so obvious, and second to get Russell on the ball with just a little more time to pick a pass, so putting him on the pitch might be a start. Quite a lot of teams would like a perceptive 6'3" midfielder ...........

But then last night I watched Plymouth beat Exeter and had another chance to see Swansea's best player. Morgan Whittaker is on loan at Plymouth, only a made two with clever little passes and scored another himself. There must be some bloody good players at Swansea.

As to Sunderland, yes they've got Alex Pritchard. Now if you could put him with Jon Russell you'd be beginning to look a threat again. You do actually have quite a lot of players who would list Defensive Midfield as a position they can play.

Wouldn't want the over paid under-performing prima donna back thanks Devon

All I can say about Alex Pritchard is that every time I've seen Sunderland this season, he's been one of the best players on the pitch.

If you only want professional players who don't have some kinda attitude problem, you'll be fishing in a very shallow sea from maybe a coracle.

They've all got ego's Devon but when you are supposedly the highest earner in the club, is it unreasonable to expect you to want to play in the first place and put a shift in when you do? Those were two items of his attitude problem that stunk the place out. He wasn't the only one in the squad that got relegated and in some cases hung around like a fart in a lift for far too long. I don't disagree that he's a good player, but it's a team sport and he didn't want to be part of our team and he made it pretty bloody obvious.

Alan Parry commentating on tonight's match on the red button is more concerned about the weather than the game. He's gone down in my estimation.

I messaged Snoots to say I've never heard anything like it! He was overly concerned about getting them a change of clothes and I can't believe he suggested the ref might call them off for a bit of rain. In. The. North. Of. England!

Oh Rhodes, man, you used to knock them in for fun.

Pritchard has only gone down t'other end and scored.

holmes should be burying that one before they scored. rhodes should be hitting the target. we played 4-5-1 at home and he looked completely isolated, shame ward came on and did even less. the younger players did well but they needed a more experienced driving force making them go forward instead of playing safe all the time. we've now lost another two starting players, wonder if there are any free agents out there that could come in and bolster the squad. then again if they don't know bromby we wont sign them, especially if they wont pay hoyle for the privilege

Think we need to look at some panic signings on short term contracts to try and find a miracle.

Vydra is free, he'd add to our front line. Hell Izzy brown is free but his injury record is woeful.

I don't know what people see in helik, we paid 1.5 mil for him when Joe Bennett of Swansea, Michael hector of Fulham to name two are free agents.

Left back is an issue, tbf so is right back, only one I've seen atm is Danny rose, but that went well for him at Watford.

Midfield is naive and needs Hoggs experience, only free agent there of note is Drinkwater and he was rubbish at readings.

Final one that is remotely interesting is ameobi, he isn't great but he gets forward with pace and wins free kicks.

Not sure what else there is really.

Pearson, Hogg and anjorin are huge misses, even if they don't start they have roles to play
Another day, another door, another high, another low
