We'd be better off packing up football and starting up Fight Club from what I'm told. Whistle Whistle

What a complete shambles we are on and off the pitch,
Majority shareholder in financial trouble
Minor shareholder running the club on a shoestring.
Sporting director appointing not 1 but 2 inexperienced coaches and making some very poor transfer decisions this summer.
The new coach scrapping with the club captain and basically slating players and then dropping them for the slightest mistake
More rumbles in training than the Jungle.

You never want to see anyone lose a job but right now all i can see is club from top to bottom pulling in different directions with the only outcome being relegation and leaving it longer will only lead to fans calling for Fotheringham(I think it's fair to say thats already started), Bromby(again that's started) and Hoyle (that's simmering with the minority but getting louder by the week)

Sack the manager now, get Wagner lined up for the end of his contract in November and let Chico and Co steer the ship until then. We'll probably still go down but at least it will get the fans and players back on to the same page.

The one who started could be any one of them but I'd be guessing it could be a Scouse, a feisty American or a lad from Bradford that doesn't seem to be working hard?

You're on the ball with one, but not the other but he's a summer signing.

Surely it was the "Empty Chair" that was (or still is) Phil Parkinson? He never made it to the presser to announce him. Laugh

I was also thinking of saying it could be a race to see who lasts longest, Fotheringham or Dizzy Miss Lizzy, but she's already dived head first onto her sword.

Is Tyreece Simpson injured? He's not out on loan for you, according to Snoots list.

He scored 11 goals last season up to mid-January for Swindon. Physically he'd bring something you totally lack in attack. He's strong and aggressive. Leicester Tigers offered him a contract to play pro' Rugby Union. He's also apparently a decent athlete.

His loan at Swindon from Ipswich was supposedly developmental, Paul Cook got sacked and his loan ended early, and you gave him a long-term deal in the summer. Considering only three teams have scored fewer goals than you, shouldn't he at least be in the running? He won't get knocked around in the Championship, that's for sure. Ipswich are good at letting players go. Years ago, they sold a young Jordan Rhodes cut-price and this year they've let Simpson go and our very own best player at Chesterfield came from the same source this summer free (and he'd play Championship football too, no question).

If I were re-vamping your team as you've got the third-worst defence, I'd be hoping to go three at the back for a start, Pearson on the right Helik in the centre and Nakayama on the left. Then you can build, with a right-hand side which has to be Sorba Thomas, and on the left Rudoni seems to get no more than a few minutes at a time but he did well for a failing team in Wimbledink last season ....... are you that much better that he'd be out of his depth at just 21, he's got some skill? Then you start central midfield - Camara is compulsory, I'll let you choose the others even though the strolling Russell is one of my favourites. Up front recall Koroma, a touch of class, put him with the raw Simpson, sub 'em both after 60 for Rhodes and Ward whatever the score ........ You won't be scoring 0 every week, promise. Bring Hogg on for the last 20 to help you hold the lead, or inspire a comeback, and involve him in the coaching during the week.

Time for Mr Fotheringham to plant some seeds. Yeah, I know it's Mr Fothergill with the seeds, but it's the best I could do at short notice.

And Danny Schofield gets the Donny job.

Yes - he came injured, not expected to play until after the World Cup

If he's a loan signing I'd say a young centre back who was last seen hanging on to the axles of the coach taking Town back north after the Luton game.

PS. We'd love to play Pearson too Devon, but he got injured pre-season and it might not be just season ending.

WELL! I was just posting a brief reply. Wasn't even touching my keyboard. Everything I wrote was wiped. There is a gremlin on Babble.

Worrying as your defence is, it is really your attack that is too powder-puff and too predictable for the Championship. You need a very perceptive midfield to put your forwards in the clear on goal, or they just won't score. They aren't physically strong enough or clever enough to leave defenders for dead.

None of your areas on the pitch, back, front or middle seem capable of helping out the other two. You need more threats than Sorba Thomas and your whole team has to defend to some extent. The one thing you could do is work harder than everybody else, but you have to want to do that.

Just got around to reading the article in the programme about his life. Four pages worth of it. More than the four paragraphs I dedicated to him on his birthday in the daily thread.  Whistle

Never knew about the racist abuse he got in his short playing career. I certainly don't recall it ever happening at Leeds Road. But then again, I wasn't on the receiving end of it.
