Unless Yokuslu has endured a massive decline, he would be a great addition for us. A Rolls Royce at this level.
I'd like to see him given the armband too.
If we get him, then I think we only only really desperately short of quality at right back. Look okay otherwise.

I cannot believe that to be true, that we would even remotely contemplate selling one of our brightest assets. Then again, it’s Albion we’re talking about!
If that were to happen, time to pack up and go home

I'm a bit torn about the prospect of the O'Shea sale. In one way it would be disappointing because he is a young player who plays on the front foot.
In another sense, if Burnley offer a lot for him it could give us some much needed funds to strengthen the squad as the owner has clearly sucked away every penny of a potential transfer kitty. And with the sale of Collins, maybe they will be able to pay a decent fee. He didn't look particularly good when he came back from injury last term and it could turn out to be a master stroke if the injury has turned him into a long term crock.
However, I'd be massively worried about Bruce spending the money on Clarke as his replacement, who he seems infatuated with.
For me, Clarke is as bang average a centre back as you can get.
He doesn't win anything in the air, so doesn't chip in with any goals, slow, poor on the ball. I have no idea how he won player of the year.
And in that case the money should would just be wasted anyway... so it's probably a lose/lose.

Sounds like the Yokuslu deal close, he wants to come loved living in the area and had his best displays in an Albion shirt.
If this deal happens it’s a real coup.

Very pleased if we get the Yokuslu deal over the line.
As regards O’Shea, I wasn’t aware there was an issue with him signing a new contract. However, even if that is the case, I feel it would be a real retrograde step not to move heaven and earth to get him to sign.
For me, him and TGH have been the new shining lights in the last couple of seasons, so I feel that to lose one of them would be a poor indictment on the club. I take Slick’s point about his form after return from injury but that was a very long lay off so I wasn’t overly surprised that his form dipped. Bruce also had a propensity to play him at full back to accommodate Clarke and Bartley and, for me, this is not his position; I think he has the potential to be an outstanding central defender, way better than the other two.
So, I’m hoping this talk of a move is just that, talk. If we decide to let him go in order to sign Clarke then I think Bruce needs his head examined

With Kipre going to Cardiff on loan I don’t think we can really afford to lose O’Shea unless we have someone in mind already.

O'Shea is going to wind his contract down - so sell him now.
