What's your favourite?
Intro
The lads in blue'n'white meet up on Good Friday evening as Town continue in their quest to earn a play-off spot or better against an R's side that have done what many (pundits, who mostly know bugger all but get paid to spout bollox on TV) have forecast Town would do since we burst into the Top 6 (again, even after the Wagner revolution)

The big questions are ...
Will Town be hard boiled in this one, firm from front to back with a shell that's hard to crack? Or,
Will Town have a soft and runny centre that the R's can dip their soldiers in and out of at will? Or,
Will Town just scramble the R's defence and pick up goals like kids on an Easter Egg hunt? Or,
Will Town's season just melt in the heat of the floodlights and the TV spotlights and our season come to a very sticky chocolatey end?
Answers on the back of £10 notes to the usual address please.

On the tellybox
Just for a change, we are on the tellybox everywhere again, but as it's Good Friday and nobody pays me for Good Friday holidays anymore, I'm going.
You can watch it for a fee on your favourite overpriced local provider here. https://www.livesoccertv.com/match/40395...k-rangers/
Other (ahem) streams may be available

Latest news
Tickets are £10 a pop again - get yer backside down to the ground, you might enjoy it.
If you're shielding, it might be best to watch on telly, if you can, or listen on Radio Local if you can't.
Get yer hands on a used sweaty shirt from the Luton match to help feed some needy kids a breakfast afore school.
If tha's got more brass na' brains, tha' can lose thi' shirt, sorry win thi'sen a shirt on this.

Being as it's in Euro's??? I take it that must be another Brexit benefit we all missed. Or has some cornflake got that all screwed up?
Anyone thinking of a last minute dash from that there Larndan to Huddersfield by train .. well there's good news and bad news.
The good news? They are running, unlike the West Coast line. You might even get back to that there Larndan without an overnight stay.
The bad news? Even with a Railcard it will cost you an arm and a leg plus your first born has to be sacrificed at the Kings Cross ticket barriers.
A weekend in Benidorm might be cheaper to be fair - if you don't mind a long queue at check-in and security.
In case you missed it (Snoots did his best to tell you all), Tuesday 12th was Huddersfield Town Day.
Please add it to your calendar for future years.

Out Injured/Suspended/Isolating
Matt Pearson's training ground injury will likely mean he's played his last League game for the season .... watch this space.
Back training but not oven ready/Back in the frame
No injuries to report from the Luton game, so all that are fit are in contention. Nabby Sarr in line to start up front again then.

Last time out
Well we levelled up the wins and losses totals v Luton with a helluva lob from Russell that some say was brilliant (me and many, many more) and some say was a fluke (Luton manager, L666s fans, pillocks everywhere). Hell the Luton manager even thought we threw the ball in off the back of one of their players.
Do pay attention at the back.

Then Nabby Sarr came on as a surprise centre forward/to shore up the defence for the last few minutes* after Danny Ward departed stage left, and scores with an unmarked header at the back post.
Cue wild scenes of celebration in the Wolverhampton area of England, not to mention the stands at The McGalfpharmSmiths Stadium.

* take your pick

QPR meanwhile came 2nd again, at Both Ends (no major surprise, they've upset a few in the top half this season), a 93rd minute penalty making the score look reasonable after going 2-0 down inside 50 minutes.
![[Image: jY2WNYA.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/jY2WNYA.jpg)
Surprises of the weekend were Hull winning at Boro, or was it? as they also beat them at home back in October.
Coventry at Fulham will have upset a few acca's too. Meanwhile Forest can't stop winning and R's seem to have the opposite problem.

Tables, Form & Stats
Town in 3rd are 10 points clear of the R's in 11th.

2 wins in the last 13 games is just the sort of form that drops you down the league, gives the board an easy excuse to turf the Manager (they haven't yet, he seems a decent bloke but is struggling to stop the rot) and 5 defeats on the spin is just the form usually required by most to turn up at ours and walk away with a soft win.
![[Image: QOnqxME.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/QOnqxME.jpg)
![[Image: YtR1mhJ.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/YtR1mhJ.jpg)
The R's have been consistently inconsistent all season. They started with 3 wins and 3 draws, then 3 defeats. They've had 3 runs of 6 games or more unbeaten only to finish them with at least 2 defeats, but after drawing 2-2 at home to Boro back in February, the wheels haven't so much wobbled as fallen off. Only 2 wins (Blackpool and Luton) and 2 draws (Boro and Hull) in the last 13 games. Oof.

T'Yorksha League
Town still have two chances to finish top of the all important Yorksha League.
Never mind Fulham walking away with the Championship, this is the one we want.
The one that really matters for bragging rights over the long Summer months when a ball isn't going to be kicked in anger.
Which corrupt bloke was it that sold the World Cup to some Arabs again?

Musical Interlude
Quite a few famous old mush's from the back streets of Shepherds Bush to be fair.
Tim Blake - keyboard wizard with Hawkwind amongst others.
Tony Butler is a British bassist, best known for his work with Scottish rock band Big Country.
Fish farmer and lead singer with The 'Oo, Roger Daltrey - like I need an excuse to play anything by The 'Oo

Steve Jones - rock guitarist, singer, actor and radio DJ, best known as a guitarist with the Sex Pistols
Well what were you expecting me to play?

Oh and one more that has nowt to do with this game. Another drummer (sadly) bites the dust. He was one helluva fan of Queen.
Hell I've only got to J, oh well, there'll be another thread sometime in the future for the next load.

Plus - none of the above may be playing in the above live videos - though the bloke from the 'Oo is hard to miss tbh.
Plenty of other famous faces (or voices) including Peter Brough who, along with puppet Archie Andrews, became the most famous ventriloquist ever on BBC Radio in the 50's. Yes, Radio.
You really couldn't see his lips move.

"Educating Archie" often averaged 15 million listeners, and a fan club had 250,000 members.

Innies and Outies
Like most in this division, free transfers and loans abound in the R's dressing room.
We counted 14 out, we counted 10 back in.
![[Image: HQfhMJS.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/HQfhMJS.jpg)
The January sales added a few more to the revolving door.
![[Image: 13AMGXa.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/13AMGXa.jpg)
They've also got more goalies on the treatment table than anyone in the country right now. They seem to keep breaking them for some reason.
Likely their 6th choice of the season, Academy youngster Murphy Marshall, could start against Town after making his senior debut last weekend at Both Ends.
Who's banging 'em in?
Andre Grey is the top scorer but nobody is yet in double figures.
Town will no doubt try and help them out if they can as the R's do seem to share the load around a bit.
We know all about Chris Willock and that Austin bloke is frequently a pain in Town's R's.

They can't all win
It's the business end of the season, when you either grab the tiger by the tail or go and sit in the corner while everyone else enjoys the fireworks.
Luton play Forest, Bornmuff play Boro just for starters and our game wraps up the evening.
Both Ends are at home to Millwall, which could make or break 'wall's ambitions.
Plenty around us are playing bottom half sides and may think they've an "easier" game coming up.
Not in this division.
![[Image: 0iAnjyv.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/0iAnjyv.jpg)
Then we do it all again on Monday when Snoots is Master of Ceremonies.

We've played 'em before
Not the highest scoring of matches in recent years.
We lost 1-0 at theirs back in November, which was our last away defeat until we went to Millwall in March.

Next up?
An occasionally very happy hunting ground for Town at this time of year, Boro away on Monday, and yes we're on the tellybox again.
We came away from Ayresome Park with the title of Division 2 Champions in 1970 (yes, this division).
We won't this season but we've a good chance of securing our current position in the games this weekend.

Outro
So, I'll sign off my last match thread of the League season with a record of
W4, D4, L3
with this one to play in the League.
W0, D0, L1
in the EFL Cup v Everton.
Bang average, must do better next season.

Let's hope come 19:30 on Friday evening we all go home as
