Well this will likely be a testy away match at Pittodrie, but it will be an interesting game in the fact that this Hibs team is still evolving under Shaun Maloney's stewardship. And what team will the manager start with? I pose that question in the knowledge that there are lotsa players who are injured and some of them must surely be "returning to the fold" after a long absence? Thankfully Rocky Bushiri will be available and there will hopefully be others. I've a hunch that big Macey won't be in Hibs goal due to injury - just a case of wait n see if Dabrowski is "given the nod" and another chance to impress. Also, is Hendo fit to play? Of course, the appearance of Melkersen in the CF position will be of great interest to Hibs fans as there is an element of anticipation re this lad's striking ability and dynamic movement "off the ball". This is another match that Hibs will dearly like to win and "push on" to grab that 4th place in the Scot Prem and confidence should be high after that Scot Cup quarter-final victory v Motherwell. C'mon Hibs!

Boring just about sums up Hibs just now, create nothing and don't have the players to do anything, a lot of work to do in the summer but going by recruitment in previous times we will likely make a mess of that aswell, is Maloney the man to take us forward? I'm not so sure, fails to inspire.

No shots on target AGAIN and given a huge boost by taking an early lead due to an Aberdeen player, Ramsey, scoring an og. Then zilch after that - consolidation and capitulation prevailed! My solution? As previously intimated in another thread - get rid of Maloney and the Hibs Chief Executive now! Don't wait! This is another Scottish footie club's failed experiment to appoint a young manager who effectively has done very little in footie club fitba and has no all round experience - not the first time it has been attempted and it doesn't work!!!! Maloney's huge negative stat covering a massive loss of league pts ever since he arrived just can't be ignored! It is becoming embarrassing in the extreme!! Couldn't hold a 0-1 lead (the refereeing didn't help though!!) and his team imploded v a fairly crap AFC side. Dundee United, another average Scot Prem side in a seriously "rank rotten" Scot footie top league, scored in the last min of their match to pick up 3 valuable pts and Hibs deservedly lost their 4th place position in the Scot Prem. Maloney's only defence is the massive injury list that doesn't go away and I see few injured players returning to significantly make a difference to the first team's performances. My prediction is Maloney will be gone by the end of the next 4-5 fixtures unless he can indeed bring back players who can change the dynamic of this boring Hibs team. Of course, he can't return Boyly to this side either, a huge dynamic that has been removed and IMO has considerably damaged this Hibs team beyond belief. Didn't compensate for the loss and worthy of sackings!!

So, how come this season, when things are not quite going for Hibs, all of a sudden we now have a seriously’ rank rotten’ Scot footie top league?

To all you interested Hibs fans who follow the Hibs Sb board, note I didn't add the latest poor refereeing performance that certainly played a part in altering the course of this match because I'm "sick to the back teeth" of debating shit ref performances almost every 2nd or 3rd week!! Here's a question to other contributing Hibs fans - "How many pts have Hibs lost to ref decisions this season"???? We similarly lost about 17 pts to referees last season as far as I can remember!! It is one of the factors (not the only one btw!!) why I describe Scot footie as rank rotten, something I have indeed similarly said in the past - I said the same thing last season that the standard of footie was generally shit/rank rotten and the poor standard of refereeing exacerbated the problem even more!! Also here's a piece of footie trivia re yesterday's ref clown, Muir, a below average Scot ref who has been haunting Scot footie for a very long time: He was the AR (goal line official) who stood about 4 ft from the infamous ignored Meekings (ICT defender) clear hand-ball incident (stopped a certain goal on the ICT goal line) that created uproar from Celtic fans at Hampden Park in the Scot Cup semi-final on 19 April 2015, a pk that would've given Celtic a two nil lead if converted just before HT. He also put in some dreadful game-changing performances during Hibs period in the Scottish Championship and YET HE IS STILL BEING ALLOWED TO OFFICIATE SCOT PREM MATCHES YEARS LATER???????? I'm not gonna mention the introduction of VAR any more until it is finally brought in to support such a backward footie league that needs help in that respect and has done for years.

Yep! Following on from my previous thread/criticism of Scot footie refereeing, we just watched a referee, Madden, giving these Huns a "bailout" pk against Dundee's Jordan McGhee and watch the incident from any angle - absolute bullshit and another one of these highly suspicious decisions given to them when they were 1-0 down. Great to see Tavernier "blaze the ball" over the bar and miss the pk though!! Also, lets not ignore the poisonous sectarian singing during this game - not just a few Rangers fans chanting their usual toxic shit; UEFA fine them thousands of Euros for this offence, our lot in backward Scotland do nothing!!
I think the ingrained probs at HFC went much deeper than Ross and it is probably the same with Maloney. I believe the issue lies higher up in Hibs staff structure and that is why one of my targets of real criticism is the Chief Executive. IMO Maloney doesn't strike me as a natural motivator of footie players and his tactics/team play are boring although, as previously intimated, I acknowledge the huge number of injuries have not helped his cause at all and the annoying thing about all of this is they don't seem to go away. I lean towards past history re Scot footie clubs trying to tout this change of direction with the radical appointment of an exciting young manager with no club experience - IT DISNAE WORK!! I'd luv to see Shaun succeed beyond all expectations, but I can't visualise that happening at all due to the clear failings in certain positions of the Hibs team plus the poor 2nd half action and tactics v 10 man Motherwell last Sunday really had the "alarm bells ringing". Hibs won the game, but stumbled along badly v 10 players in the process. A sound and unrestricted manager would've tried to win positively - win it well in order to take full advantage of a ref decision that benefited us and really would've lifted confidence greatly rather than "staggering to the finish line" v 10 players.

No wonder there’s hardly any contribution on here from your fellow Hibees, you spout some absolute drivel at times. Surprised you’ve never been interviewed for the managers job at Easter Road as you appear to have all the answers 0762
