Considering that my mother and father had a very basic education, it's perhaps surprising that they really enjoyed watching University Challenge back in the early days. In fact, sad to say, my father suffered a massive fatal heart attack while watching the show. Maybe the excitement proved too much for him. RIP, Dad.

Steve Burtenshaw, football player and manager. Played his whole career for Brighton and then managed Sheffield Wednesday and QPR in the 70s. He was the Wednesday manager when I first started watching Wednesday.
