LAST MATCH
Well we competed for 10 minutes, then conceded a goal, then totally gave up and capitulated to a decent Sunderland team but nothing more. Yes the first goal was offside, but the defending for the other 4 goals was sunday league, and that's being disrespectful to sunday league teams
A great way to end 2021, and now the transfer window is open so some centre backs are a priority, also what happens to some of the loan players, will any of them be recalled - I would keep Corbeanu, as for the rest.............I'll let you decide.
NEXT MATCH
Next up and a trip to Shrewsbury. Lets see if this team can bounce back or put up back to back dis-interested performances, I think the latter is more possible than the former. They currently lie in 15th place and will probably finish in the lower half of the table. They have joint leading scorers with Udoh & Bowman with 9 goals each, with our makeshift defence, they could easily add to them totals. We are already 6 points off the playoffs as a second season in the Pub League begins to look like a reality. If we had a different manager in charge, someone not so defensive and more forward thinking, we may have had a chance of making a promotion push
