League Cup QF: Dundee United v Hibs, Thurs 23 Sept, KO 7.45pm
#1
This will be an interesting encounter at Tannadice with a cup semi-final "up for grabs". They'll be "on a high" after winning the Dundee derby and it has the making of an entertaining rip-roaring cup tie. Hibs still unbeaten and always seem to be able to "lift" their performances in cup ties. Also Hibs record v United is vg in recent years with JR not losing a match v the Tangerines. Lets hope that continues. Looks like a big Hibs away support heading north to cheer on the guys. C'mon Hibs!

Its all about confidence Jim. ( and apart from 15 minutes so were we!!) Fans often look at the final score to decide if the team played well or not. Wink

It's supposed to be on Premier Sports 2, Snooty.

PS For Tolkien fans, the referee is Gollum, but let's not give him the chance of a controversial decision affecting the result by winning all on our own.

Aye, wee Willie, certainly likes to be the centre of attention. Sure to be something controversial when he is involved. Hopeless Ref, similar to them all in Scotland

Yep! This old saying applies in this particular case Ritchie: "Lets win it in spite of the referee"!!

It wouldn't be Hibs if we didn't have a wee scare along the way, but it's 5 successive semi-finals now. Undoubtedly there is room for improvement in our concentration and application, but we are easily good enough to go on to win the competition. No more tentativeness and plenty of positivity required for the future.
