Nurnburg saying they are in final talks with Schindler and expect him to sign in the next few days. Sad

It's sad that both Schindler can't say goodbye in person and that the fans can't say thankyou for his service but in reality he has been part of a poor team for 3 years and it is probably the right time for both parties to part ways.

A Rolls Royce of a defender in his prime, commitment second to to none and cool when under immense pressure. Thank you CS for making our dreams come true. you will always be welcomed in Huddersfield

Those few days turned into a couple of hours. Schindy has gone to Nuremberg.

Town and Ipswich both offered supposed 3 year deals to Jordan Rhodes. That probably means he comes here, his home is still in holmfirth and probably suits him better. Yes he's played and lived in Ipswich before but a move to town probably fits him better

First of all. How long a contract did Reece Brown sign? Huh Has he played a game for us yet?

I think it's a bit harsh on Niasse, signing and not getting a chance before he got injured. Unless he's completely crocked, ought he not get a 6 month contract at least? If not, what was the point in signing him in the first place?

I can't see the point in keeping Keogh on. He's well past his best, which in my opinion wasn't very good to start with. He's too slow and is a bleedin' liability. Hopefully this windfall he's been awarded today will make up his mind to retire.

If the club are taking up the option of the contract extension for Mbenza, it must be with a massive pay cut and must mean the rumours that he walked out on the club a few weeks ago are bollocks!

As much as I love Bacuna, I think for his own good he ought to leave and find a club more suited to his laid back style of play, if we're not having a coach who can get the best out of him.

Anybody else got any opinions on all these?

Neither of the forwards we brought in have been offered a new contract which can only mean they were panic buys at the time.

Glad to see Elphick and Stearman depart, could do with Keogh joining them.

If we were to keep one of the ageing centre backs and we can't keep Schindler, I'd rather have kept Stearman than Keogh.

Well according to someone on The Unexamined, Mirfield Mike I think he calls himself, we need a 20 goal a year striker. for next season.

Is that like the 20 goal a year Blue Manc's striker?

Oh wait a minute. Let me know if you can spot him in this list above.

Or is it like an Adam Armstrong, Keifer Moore, Lucas João 20 goal a season striker (almost) who's clubs we'll be playing again next season, or an Ivan Toney or Teemu Pukki 20 goal a season striker, neither of who as players are likely to be in this division next season?

The next best are a slack handful on 15.

20 goals a season my backside. Give me 4 or 5 players in high to medium double figures and the rest of the squad chipping in as well and a defence that doesn't leak like a sieve.

Barnsley scored 8 more than us, Swansea scored 6 more than us, Watford got promoted scoring 13 more than us.

Karlan Grant scored 19 last season, that's almost 20, and we still only just avoided relegation.

The case for the defence, or is that the attack? rests m'lud.

Didn't we get promoted with only 56 goals?

Oh - and we scored 52 last season.
