Not hard to see why they score fewer than just a slack handful of sides below them. We gave them the ball for the first 15 minutes and they couldn't score. Their defence conceding fewer than anyone in the top 5 is why they've (eventually) got more points than us and only lost 6 in the period we've now only won 4.

Considering how many players they brought in to "improve" the squad after missing out in the play-off's last season, that was a very, very poor Forest side.

Might not be Hughton's total choice of players (brought in 4 games into the season) but his sides aren't known for scoring loads of goals anyway.

Norwich promoted so well done to them.

Man of the match? Aaron Rowe, I reckon. Hope this sees him get a run in the team til the end of the season. He always looks good attacking and he's better at defending than some of the others in his position. Versatile as well, so can switch over to the right side when young Josh gets back into the starting XI.

Good to see Toffos back today, gives the team a better balance. Pipa on the right and Toffs on the left. Much better.

We really do need to get this passing about between the defenders sorted though. It's been a problem for a few years now and wayward passing at the back has cost us dearly in the past, most notably recently at home to Bournemouth. It should've cost us today, but thankfully it was them who got punished for the same sort of mistakes. Either our midfielders are not making space for themselves, can't really tell on the telly, or our defenders don't have the skill to make the appropriate passes to them. If not, why not. They're all experienced enough to be able to pass a ball.

Danny Ward looked more useful today. I'd still prefer him out wide though. And the shot he had was woeful, but overall, he looked better today.

And as for Juninho. What a goal! Smile

Well - I was listening to the Forest common taters on my feed and they reckoned we were an accident waiting to happen had Forest pressed us more, which was pretty obvious in the first 15 mins. They might have done had they needed a result more than us. The problem they were pointing out was that there was NO MOVEMENT AT ALL in front of the Town back 4, neither in midfield or forwards to make space to pass to. Once we did that then Forest retreated further into their own half to defend rather than half-press up front.

Yes Danny Ward had a shot and ooooh, is this now 4 games he's come on and not got injured? He needs to tell the poison dwarf that is Pritchard his secret. It's rare I'll criticise a Town player as I expect them all to put a shift in, but quite honestly I think we bought the twin brother that prefers to go fishing rather than the one that could apparently play football for former clubs. Wonder where he is now and what name he's playing under?

Of the games we have left -
Barnsalee isn't as important to us as it is to them. A win at ours would probably guarantee them a play-off place if they win tomorrow at Coventry regardless of whether Reading win at Luton.
Blackburn are already on the beach
Coventry may or may not be as safe as us depending on whether they take points off Barnsalee and Stoke (also on the beach).
Reading therefore are also likely to be on the beach when they play us - other than they might want to settle a little grudge from a couple of seasons back or so.
2 or 3 points from these is realistically all we need.

No match hightlights yet that I can find.

Beating Direby put them on the beach

Match highlights on YouTube don't get posted until sometime between midnight and 1:00am for reasons I can't fathom. I guess it gives them time to weed out all the illegal posts - which should be nil as nobody is there, other than those that record their Web/TV stream and post it.

Radio Local have posted their post-match Oggy/Careless interview on the Commentary page instead of the Post-match page. Well, at least the intern posted it this time. I'll save you the bother of looking for it. Thumb up
