Morelos formally given a three game ban - a unanimous decision that just confirms the "favours" that are being regularly given to Rangers FC by the refereeing fraternity. Ban him now while Rangers have walked away from ER Stadium with another 3 pts attached to a dirty "fat boy" who scored the winning goal and compliments of a complicit referee (+AR) who definitely saw that incident and it was nothing like a "tangle of legs", an excuse that ref Clancy "fobbed off" on Jack Ross after the game. The ref farce continues regardless in Scot footie - exposed AGAIN!!Thumb down

Note that Morelos will miss the games against St Johnstone, Hamilton and Kilmarnock. After the previous retrospective ban he missed the Motherwell game.

Strange that all of these clubs are in the bottom six. I mean, he can't be banned for games against the top clubs, can he?

I must say that today and yesterday I've listened to this "sudden interest" in bad refereeing standards ever since Gerrard's whining and being sent to the Livy stand after ref Beaton's Wednesday night call on a Morelos simulation in the Livy pen box and subsequent yellow card. Yep, prob a bad call on someone who "dives" a lot but I've never heard such concerted criticism and debate after incidents like the x-rated tackle on Saint J's Murray Davidson that sidelined him for weeks or the Morelos stamp on Porteous, both wrong calls that benefited Rangers!!!!!! The Saint Johnstone manager and Hibs manager didn't ask for an apology from the referee after the match or the following week and it didn't really receive the media or public attention that these incidents should've had - A CASE OF GLARING DOUBLE STANDARDS BEING APPLIED AND GERRARD WHINING LIKE F### WHILE IN A POSITION AT THE TOP OF THE SCOT PREM AND GETTING 100% OF REF DECISIONS ON THE LIKES OF RED CARD DECISIONS AGAINST THEM AND NO PK AWARDS AGAINST THEM APART FROM ONE IN A LEAGUE CUP SEMI-FINAL! IMO the usual bias and focus given to he who whines and whines loudest i.e. Rangers FC and their hypocritical manager!! Hard done by??? F###### joking!

Just watched another horrific challenge by a Rangers player tonight v the Slavia Prague goalie - ONE OF THE WORST HEAD HIGH CHALLENGES I'VE EVER SEEN IN EURO FOOTIE!!! But this time the UEFA referee has rightly issued Roofe a straight red card - THE FIRST RED CARD ISSUED ON THE FIELD OF PLAY TO A RANGERS PLAYER THIS SEASON AND IT HAD TO BE A EURO REF APPLYING THE PROPER RULES OF FOOTIE!!! The poor Slavia goalie badly hurt and gashed on the head and face!! Roofe didn't pull out of his challenge (he could have done it but didn't!) and could easily have killed or badly maimed this goalkeeper who was stretchered off the pitch and replaced!! And then another Rangers player, Balogun, red-carded (a second yellow card issued) late on in this Euro match at Ibronx - how ironic v a decent team, unbeaten Czech league champions, that finally "showed up" v the Ibronx outfit and deservedly won the match.

Who would have thunk sevco would get a total schooling when they came up against a half decent side and a neutral referee ? They could have finished that game with 7 players ffs. If it had been an SPL game you know the refs wouldn't have red carded one of them.

Roofes assault on the keeper was disgraceful, but ' he's not that kind of player'. Ehhh ???

The huns are a dirty, cynical side that constantly plays for fouls when they aren't trying to injure opponents. Basically in the image of their torn faced arsehole of a manager.

Get it right xxxx up them.

Roofe is looking at a career in medical science after football, judging by his recent attempts at collecting DNA from opponents. His challenge on the Slavia goalkeeper was an absolute disgrace, even eclipsing his one on Murray Davidson. Apparently the keeper suffered a facial fracture - perhaps lucky he didn't lose his sight in my opinion.

He's not my favourite person, but Stuart McCall hit the nail on the head in describing Balogun's second yellow as a challenge "he thought he'd get away with". In Scottish football he would have got away with it, as would Roofe.

And of course, Stevie G is in full deflection mode, complaining about a racial comment. I hope he's been asked about Roofe's challenge and the potential consequences of that. Not that I'm expecting an honest reply.

They totally lost control last night, they basically had no answers against a superior side and they couldnae take it. They should be getting clobbered by UEFA for some of their behaviour.

The racism thing ? I tend to believe Kamara and if guilty the Slavia guy should get done for it, but hearing rangers fans calling out UEFA on this is xxxx laughable with their track record...especially when they would normally be dusting off their flutes and bigoted songbook for their game with celtic.

Total hypocrites.

That injury to the SP goalie, Kolar, was apparently a fractured skull and, as said in one of my previous threads, that was bad enough but could've been life-threatening or life-changing. I'd reiterate that Roofe had the option to pull out of that horrific challenge but didn't!! Ultimately his decision and he should be ashamed of what he did! I'd also like to see UEFA getting involved in this instance because their behaviour during this match definitely breached the UEFA rules of footie in various instances. Agreed re the hypocrisy of Rangers fans, who have a black history of racism and sectarianism attached to them, re calling out a racism charge on an incident that could well be relevant but will never be proved. What is so annoying is the fact that this incident has given them another convenient "smokescreen" to disguise what they were up to during this game and that includes that horrific Roofe challenge. I've a good mind to send a letter to UEFA detailing everything that was wrong in this disgraceful match that did nothing for the reputation of Scottish footie. It just had to be THEM again eh!! And using the "offended party card" AGAIN!! Rolleyes Totally unacceptable!
