We need another Wagner Revolution

We were supposedly getting one by releasing the Cowley's and bringing in Careless. Either way all 3 (and a few others) are still getting paid. Doubt we'll have paid the Cowley's off in a lump sum, they are in no rush to find alternative permanent employment for now.

It's now no longer a coincidence that our performances have gone south since Careless and his staff signed new contracts. I doubt they would have been for less money than when they started. Something tells me the players didn't buy into whatever that deal was, or what they think it was, or whatever other bs they've been fed and this deal flies in the face of it.

The again it - "Could have been the Willie Nelson, it could have been the wine." that makes me think that.

That was woeful to watch. Shambles of a 2nd half after a decent 1st half. I'm not going to go into the money/chairman/manager/transfer issues even though they all matter.
I'm just going to focus on injuries - no one seems to have mentioned this.
We are absolutely down to the bare bones just now regarding fit players. Yes I know the squad is weak anyway, but our team on Sat was miles away from our first 11.
No Schindler, Toffolo, Eiting, Aarons(maybe), Koroma and Ward(maybe). We had a midfielder playing left back.
And there is some stat out there that shows we have used numerous different centrebacks and goalie combinations. Not had a settled back line all season.
I know all teams have injuries, but that's half our first 11 out. It does make a difference.
The earlier part of this season when we did have a good first 11, we won 5 home games on the bounce, against some good teams, and our supporters (inc me) were thinking about play off places.

As I say, we can't ignore money/chairman/manager/transfer issues, but I'm just trying to say injuries have affected this club badly. More than most this season.

This isn't a go at you Shep, just me frustrated by the bullshit that comes out of Town.

We'll be lucky to see Schindler in a Town shirt again and if we are his farewell is likely to be in front of an empty stadium...crying shame really.

Schindler has been replaced by Keogh
Toffolo...you have a fair point
Eiting...replaced by Holmes
Arrons..well he was Koroma's replacement.
Ward..You cant miss what you've never had.

Like you say the squad is weak, has been all season but the chairman hides behind covid and how difficult it is to get a striker through the door but yet
Deadline Day
Swansea signed a Forward
Bournemouth signed a forward
Preston signed a forward
Derby signed a forward
Birmingham signed a forward
Luton signed a forward
Coventry signed a forward
Barnsley signed forward
Forest signed a forward

We are either really unlucky or the clown running the club hasn't got a scooby doo about running the club

think we're both unlucky and ran by a clown, although I don't think the ring master dictating what the clown can do helps much.

by sounds of that pr release that Phil did, we had some say they didn't want to come to england, some say they wanted a permanent move over a loan and that those deals affected the summer planning, not sure why, only thing I can think of is that we went for a few stop gap loans with the view to signing better in the summer and the players didn't want that. Possibly why we ended up with a Richard Keogh signing as he was willing to be a stop gap. We probably missed out on a few signings due to our long term aim, but completely forgot about the short term trouble we are in, which in itself really affects the long term future of the club.

I also don't think Bromby is up to the job, yes he has a few contacts from his playing days, but they are few and far between, we need someone vastly better than him running the transfer aspect of the club, I think he was fine as a head of youth development, because he has been in their position before and its a position I feel is better suited to an ex player. The head of football is more suited to the likes of Webber, who have made a career of dealing with agents, scouts and players and what not. Failing that, an old head of a manager who has had that sort of experience before all the DOF and everything came in.

Going to be honest here, take a Pulis for example, out dated as a manager now, the game has moved on from him, but as a man with experience of the game, would he now be better suited to being upstairs, looking for and dealing with potential players and their entourage, same could be said for a few managers and coaches. If we go back to the start of Clark's reign was it he or Hoyle who identified the signings or was it maybe more the likes of Mcdermott and Fazakerly? I'm leaning towards Faz being the one who knew of the players.
