I'm too young to know what he was like as a player, but as a manager his teams have always left everything on the pitch. He's clearly fuming by some of the performances we are serving up at the moment. He's one of the few at the club that appears to care about football (or at least his own pride), as well as money.

Some of these players on the other hand...

Laughing and joking after 3,4,5 goal thrashings...

They couldn't care less. They'll be handing in their transfer requests come the summer if anyone is daft enough to want them. They would move for 1p extra cash. Useless tossers couldn't even perform well enough to salvage some self pride against League 1 opponents.

As each game passes, I'm getting more and more inclined to back a complete reset of the club in the summer. Selling all the flashy players and rebuilding with lads who wear their heart of the sleeve. At this point, ability goes out of the window and I simply want to watch a team that are relatable, a team that care. I'd take a Sean Flynn over a Filip Krovinovic and a Danny Dichio over a Ken Zohore any day of the week.

I’m feeling the same. I’ve given up on this season; we will be relegated and we’ll deserve it. What we cannot do is keep this same bunch next season, hoping they’ll get us promoted as it’s just perpetuating the problem. As you say, Slick, we need a reset; that may well mean a few seasons in the Championship - so be it, we’ll survive and, in doing so, we may get our club back. Right now, this is a feckin nightmare, we are an embarrassment...and I hate the EPL anyway Smile

Sean Flynn Thumb up , now there was a grafter who demanded the same from those around him, McInnes another, Andy Johnson, what we wouldn't give for a few of those now - but that's probably for another thread Thumb up

No problem with Sam. Lots of anger towards the players.

Bring on the rebuild and next season.

Is Mulumu available???

At the risk of being called an old coffin dodger what wouldn't I give for a Wile, Robertson partnership right now, with maybe Bryan Robson driving the midfield.

So sorry to see this great Club that I have supported or, more recently followed from afar, going so rapidly and it seems from the players attitudes, so willingly, down the pan.
I can't get to games now, my last a 2-1 win over Bolton with Sean Long scoring the winner. However, I have to accept what you guys say about the lack of desire and passion.
I guess the only consolation is that we will get a parachute payment from the Prem sometime next season. Let's hope that rules are in place to prevent Lai from getting his hands on it. After all if you are not prepared to put any money in, why should you be allowed to take it out.

My last wish is that we do not acquire Derby's record of the fewest ever points by a Premiership team. If, that is, we dare to call ourselves that!! Angry Angry Cry

Sorry you can no longer get to matches, I get to most home and away seen some really crap sides since 67. What annoys me most with this side is the talent is there but the application to isn’t. I think in the next 3 weeks things will change rapidly, you could see by Allardyce’s face yesterday he’s a bad loser and he’s had his fill of this lot. He will bring in players who will fight and try and be honest to the cause. You could even find a couple of outgoings.Heard Pereira not happy wants more money, well why did he sign a 5 year contract if after a few months he wants more. I will back Allardyce until he has had time to put his players and tactics on his team. Fans saying we should have kept Bilic of witch I was one, are wrong this lot are his players and they have done nothing for nearly 12 months.

Good Post 13.
I thought exactly the same about SA, so was a little disturbed to read the following on the BBC site:
"My job now, having looked at the full squad nearly, is to raise as much as money as we can and get as many players as we can in January," Allardyce told BBC Sport.

"I'm in no doubt about that now having been here the last few weeks and seen what I've seen.

"I'm happy with the application and the effort but what we are not good at is keeping a clean sheet and at the other end we are not good at scoring a goal so I've got to sort both of those areas out."

Maybe he just doesn't want to criticise his players in the press?

Just read an article by Madeley in the Athletic, he is basically saying Periera is causing a lot of unrest amongst the players with his attitude on and of the pitch, has been offered a new contract but he and his advisers want more, for me if Krovinavic goes so will Pereira. Also remember Snodgrass can play in the position currently occupied by Periera.

Wouldn't surprise me to see he gets a few goals with their more attacking team.

We are showing now that to bring in last year’s championship players was totally and completely wrong they are not good enough. As for blaming Allardyce we must wait until he has had time to bring in his own players and there will be plenty mark my words, he has found out he has inherited a bunch of gutless idiots. I don’t want Allardyce but until he has had a chance to bring in his own players that show some fight I will stay with him. I think you will find a lot different team come February to what we have now.

I agree wba13, he has to be given a chance, so if that means getting rid of half a championship team for older more experienced players still wanting to be thought of as not over the top, so be it.

I also do not like my team 'supporters' continually having a go at everything the Managers or the team does, cos that is viral, and that doesn't inspire the team should they hear or read this to do any better.

 My personal view of course.

Well, at least Leeds are doing their level best to eclipse our embarrassment with an even bigger whoopsie.
