In all the years I've been watching Town I've never seen us play Coventry City in any form of fixture.. Friendly,League,Cup or tiddlywinks!
The only saving grace is they don't play in Coventry so I'm not missing out on adding another ground towards the 92.
For the record you can add Fleetwood, AFC Wimbledon, Newport, Forest Green Rovers, Morecambe, Salford, Crawley, Harrogate and Barrow to the list of teams I'm yet to see Town play against

The elephant in the....logo.
I was wondering why Coventry have an ephalump on their badge. So here's the explanation.....
Quote:What about the present crest then? The dominant feature of the badge, an elephant with a castle on its back and a red and white cross on its side is a traditional symbol for St. George, a more elaborate version of the English Flag if you like. St. George was believed to have lived in the Coventry area. The elephant was the mortal enemy of the dragon because a dragon’s favourite meal was supposed to be a baby elephant. St George was the dragon slayer and therefore presumably hero to the elephants. When Coventry was chartered by the Crown as a city, it was given the elephant as its symbol. The castle on its back shows that the city was given royal permission to build. When the club changed its name from Singers FC to Coventry City they included the illustrious design as the centrepiece of the club’s crest.

I was going to ask a City fan at work the reason behind it the next time I saw him about the heffalump in the room, but as it looks like it will be the New Year afore I get sent to Coventry again (yay), thanks for the explanation Snoots.
Their crest came up in our pre-Christmas kwiz yesterday. The options were them and all the Brummy clubs - would you believe a few got it wrong? OK they aren't all footy fans and they don't all live in Coventry but ........... who else would it be from that shortlist? I mean - Baggies, a bird with a worm in its gob, Brum, a scarf wrapped round a football, or two, Villa - some prick crashing a Range Rover into a load of parked cars - not hard to work out is it?

Not a bad first half. Not great though either.
Shame McBenza just lost his balance as he was shooting at the open goal. Still has to score from there though.

Any chance of Bacuna looking interested in the 2nd half for a change? Obviously thinks he's too good for this League. Maybe Charlton, Wigan or Shrewsbury would be his level? Apologies to fans of those clubs if you are reading. You've likely got better.

Tonight showed how we missed Hoggy on Saturday. Easily man of the match tonight.
REG played well. And Pipa. McBenza as well despite the miss.
The hectic schedule is definitely getting to Toffolo, Sarr and O'Brien. Toffs not looking good at all tonight and Lewis was shocking.
