I still wonder why seemingly fit young professional (sometimes former) sports people, and 42 is still very young, pop their clogs early. It could be genetics, it can be their own decision sadly, it can also be what they take that isn't exactly lucozade or aspirin but you get what I mean. I'd like to think it's genetics but ..... yeah ok it only gets reported when it's sportsmen and celebs in this age band but they do seem to fill more than their fair share of the A-Z's in the personal notices column near the back of the newspaper.

Lou Gherig's disease is ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) in the US but as you say has other names in other countries.
