IMO Bilic has the Burnley game to save his job. The guy is clueless.
This constant chopping and changing for formations and personnel, without any logical explanation.
The inability to identify that we lack fight, defensive awareness, the ability to mark, the desire to tackle.
Today we started with 5 midfielders and didn't lay a glove on them. Too many players jogging around who simply can't be arsed to get tight, tackle and fight.
You have to earn your right to play at this level.
The squad is totally unbalanced in favour of wingers and attacking midfielders. Today we have Phillips, Grosicki and Gallagher who don't make the squad yet we don't have a proper right back or sitting midfielder at the club. Gallagher and Grosicki are better than the players who were selected as well. It's a joke.
Let's get a manager in who understands you need to build from the back. Let's get Kipre and Ivanovic introduced, Ajayi moved into the midfield to provide legs along with Livermore and Gallagher - so we have 3 blokes in the centre of the park who are mobile and can tackle. Let's get a forward who has some physical presence, the ability to hold the ball up and actually get on the end of a cross.
Let's see how the opposition cope from free kicks when they have to mark both centre backs + Ajayi + a forward who can actually head the ball. Let's start using Sawyers and Krovi from the bench when we need an extra man in midfield to close a game up. Stop starting with 4-5 luxury players, we're not good enough!
Honestly on this evidence, we will struggle to get 10 points. The naivety with the selection is reminiscent of the Tony Mowbray years, but at least under Mowbray we could keep the ball. This side is as soft as Mowbray's side but has 20-30% possession of the ball. First half today was just a waiting game to see how long it took us to conceded.
Slav needs to wake up and smell the coffee. The squad isn't the best, but we could put out a team more likely to compete than that!

All along it's Lai where any anger should be aimed, you can't fully repair a race car if you only have adjustable spanner, no matter how good you are as a mechanic and lets face it if we were all as good at football management as we think we are, we would not be the ones sat at home behind the keyboard.
I wanted Bilic sacked after we stumbled across the line last year. For me his constantly emotional team selection (changing the side every week) almost cost us promotion.
The reality is, we went into lockdown almost 10 points clear and went into the last game with our fate outside of our own hands. By some miracle, Brentford couldn't finish the job.
As for Johnstone, he's a poor keeper who is capable of the odd good game. He played well today but still got beat by a shot straight down the centre for their first and made a royal cock up from a cross in the 2nd which he almost punched into his own net. Another obvious mistake that Bilic fails to identify. One of many.
