In the interview I think he said unnamed, but yes it did turn out to be everton. All the more reason for us to give him a go. Can anyone be worse than oscar gobern right now?

The problem is they aren't good enough. The U21's and U18's more or less beat everything that's put in front of them but when it comes to the first team they are a world away, when they go out on loan they hardly come back with glowing reports.

You probably won't like this (art probably will) but this club is beginning to fail from the top down.

When Powell was appointed Dean talked about our Plan A which was to get players to over achieve, well right now and for the majority of last season that hasn't happened with 2 different full time managers.
What happens when the players don't 'over achieve' ???
We resort to being the team you saw last Saturday, devoid of ideas and energy and this leaves us on a knife edge for the future because without over achieving this team is relegation fodder.

Who is to blame?
For me they all have to share responsibility.
The Players, either not good enough or just plain lazy
The Management(s), new and old alike, tactics, selections, transfer targets.
The Board. Poor decision making at times, take Mark Robins actually being in charge at the 1st game as prime example

It gives me no pleasure that the club are failing from top to the bottom Wakey mate but I'm reaching the end of my tether with em. Its depressing attending games at times.

But we're already over achieving by being in this division. We are nothing more than a top end League One club so to be where we are is highly commendable given the terrible support we get.

I know what you mean Art, the problem is nobody seems to accept responsibility for the direction the club is heading.

Take Dean for example, he seems more driven now by reducing the costs these days. Why was he happy to subsidise £4million losses in League 1 and yet not use the money that he can to the full extent in this division when others around do.

M'Lord, do yo

M'Lord, do you really believe that? The thing is we look at the tables and see clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford at the top end of our Division, they are over achieving despite getting small crowds and yes I know B'muff have spent more cash than they can justify on small crowds but what about Brentford?

Well they're over achieving. Obviously there will be teams over achieving like us, Bournemouth, Brentford and Bradford and there will be massive teams like Leeds, Wendies and Portsmouth under achieving.
Yes we could over achieve a bit more, but in my opinion, we are already over achieving.

We'll have to agree to disagree them.

IMO we aren't even achieving, 3 seasons we've been here now and everyone of them has been a struggle.
Grayson,Robins and Powell are all struggled/struggling to get these players to achieve. The problem for me is one that DH pointed out at the time he sacked Robins....NEGATIVITY. This I'm afraid starts from the very top, Dean himself Sets that tone when you are travelling to a game at Norwich and he tells you it's a long way to go for a defeat, we then don't give ourselves the best possible chance of survival by trying to play the financial game with our hands tied behind our backs. While everyone else just spends what they want or at least up to the limit we are trying to play by a different set of rules which in the long run will condemn us to the lower leagues for ever.
Again I ask why was Dean happy to lose 4million a year in League1 but now it's half that figure.
The negativity doesn't stop there, we have a manager that is vey negative. More concerned with the opposition rather than concentrating on what his own players can do do to affect the game.
The club wonder why people don't come anymore, it's because it's boring, negative and all too predictable most of the time, add that to the fact over complicated pricing structure for matches.

Was anyone saying this when we tonked nottingham forest or wolves, teams who have double or even triple our wage bill, playing excellent football. Consistency has been our main issue. This is not powells team, Wakey if you accuse of Powell of focusing too much on the opposition but with Robins he only concentrated on our own players what do you want from a town manager? Yes results have been poor, but this doesn't mean our whole ethos should be doom and gloom, I'm the first to have a go at players who have reallly been utterly spineless from a few these past few seasons. But we're realistically a medium sized town that gets average gates. What does anyone expect us to realistically achieve unless we have big backers like at bournemouth and brentford?

Well we do have a big backer. The problem is, like Wakey says, he's sticking to the rules, whereas every bugger else isn't.
