A Halloween Scottish Cup semi-final announced by the SFA!?
#1
So it comes to pass that Hibs will play Hertz in a revised Scot Cup semi-final on 31 Oct or 1 Nov. We are now approaching a new footie season and IMO both semi-finals should've been voided and be done with it!! Clearly not a view shared by the SFA - in order to guarantee Celtic's quadruple "treble" record is achieved, these fixtures have now been confirmed by the SFA. I'm assuming a good number of Hibs players, and others, will be cup-tied because they have played for other footie clubs in this tourney. Many players have also moved on. We could well be into another "lockdown" by then as well!! Anyway, my ideal scenario would be Hibs giving this Gorgie footie club an absolute "pumping" for various reasons incl their consistent crass behaviour for the past couple of months!! I'd luv to destroy them and the aspirations of that big faction of their fans, incl Murray, Deans and Budge, who regard themselves as something more special than they actually are in reality. DO NOT LOSE THIS MATCH V THESE C#### HIBS!!

On the face of it, seems a ridiculous decision. Have they given any reason why it's so late, well into next season? And when's the final? A week before next season's final? Why not play them the same day, make it a double header? Whistle

Its 100% about it being a money spinner for the SFA. They are banking on crowds being back in by then, its always been their no 1 cash cow.

Its going to lead to a horrendous fixture pile up, but a Scottish cup final with hibs in it would be fecking magic! To get there Ross will have to take hertz seriously though and get the attitude spot on - off field and on!

Listening to the SFA's "head honcho", Ian Maxwell, on the radio today and it transpires that no players will be cup-tied!? It makes this whole footie exercise even more bizarre IMO with fundamental footie tournament rules "tossed oot the windae"!
