Frustration against Forest in the end, but a much-needed week's rest has given Albion chance to regroup before two more tricky encounters in the coming days, against a pair of sides currently in a two-way fight for the last playoff place. Saturday takes us down to Ashton Gate, where last April we contrived to go 3-0 down within the first twenty minutes en route to defeat; in fact, our most recent league win on the banks of the Avon was courtesy of Lee Hughes and James Quinn in September 1998, so some more of that history-defying magic from the Millwall and Reading trips is very much in order. The Robins have managed to produce a 1-0 scoreline one way or the other in five of their last seven games, so this may end up being a tight affair.

North End, while they may have slipped down a little since our last encounter, are still doggedly grinding out results and presently clinging onto 6th place. Left sore by the circumstances of our win at Deepdale in the autumn, I'd expect them to arrive at the Hawthorns on Tuesday night ready to settle the score. They've won their last three away games (albeit all against lowly opposition) and remain unbeaten on the road since mid-December, but our record against Preston is as solid as they come - four wins on the trot, undefeated since January 2008, and unbeaten on home soil since September 1973 - so if nothing else, the stage is set for a great game.

Apparently City are very much weakened by a bug hitting many of their players...
...... don't like the sound of this at all!

Nah - the spring is back in our step and we're looking good with the 2 excellent attacking additions we've made - so good that it seems like we're hardly missing Diagiananana; I'm going for either 4 or all 6 of the points on offer here

We just want the points please. Would be great to boost our GD so a 4 - 1 win will go down a treat. COYB.

The FA have given Charlie Austin a formal warning about his social media posts and he will not face any further action.

Several days ago, he tweeted phrases such as “you’re shit fans” and “cheeky c**t” to Southampton fans.
