Strange team selection , no new signings and still prefers O'Shea to Furlong

O'Shea - Ajayi - Bartley - Townsend Sawyers - Livermore Pereira - Krovinovic - Robinson HRK Bond, Hegazi, Furlong, Harper, Phillips, Grosicki, Austin What exactly has Furlong done wrong to lose his place in the team to a centre back? This might be an unpopular opinion but I'd have started Pereira on the bench today with Phillips keeping his place. My reasoning is that Pereira has been suspended for 3 matches so he should have to win his place back in the team.

Very disappointed in that selection, we've just strengthened in the areas that we needed to and are now not playing them.
Cant for the life of me work out why furlong is left out again especially for o'shea for who is not even a full back, and why buy peltier? I do think SB is still the right man for the job, but, if pardew or shan had picked that team we'd be calling for their heads. 
Blimey - only watched from h/t - we should be 3 or 4 up just in the 25 mins I've seen!
Looking good but just hope we don't regret these missed chances.... .... 25 shots v 5! (only 1 goal though) |
