Wow ....

Nathan Ferguson will undergo exploratory surgery on his knee next week - but his agent has again expressed his desire to leave Albion. Highly, highly unlikely he'll ever play for West Brom again https://t.co/BEHndCRZEF #wba

Would a tribunal, if it came to it, take into account that £10-£12m was offered for him before the knee problem was discovered.?

The club has to pay for his treatment, but cost will be covered by insurance.
I don't understand why NF doesn't sign a new contract - take a £19K a week pay rise and a very nice signing on fee of £1/2 a million.
With a sell on clause of £10 million, chicken dinner everyone is a winner.
I know I think differently to most, but it makes perfect sense to me.

Agents can negotiate a better deal for him the agent once Fergie is out of contract ...
Simply everything is agent driven,
Nathan should grow a pair.

Once he's had his op regarding a tribunal and he goes through the medical 100% I would hope they uphold the 10 million Confused

I feel a bit like that, BUT do any of us actually know what has gone on. Seems like something wrong. I have heard his agent is one of the most respected in the business.

The game no longer is about players and team allegiance, its about money. And as they'd have say 10 years at top of their game before retiring or lower division, I can't blame them.

I mean who will remember F in 10 years as he lives a well off comfortable life cos he went for the money?

Yes I totally agree. If I had the opportunity to get a couple of million in my bank account and have the option to retire at 30 and go round the world and have a great series of life experiences but piss of football fans in the process - I'd be going flat out for it.

Can't blame them for milking the gravy train - it's Sky and all the rest of them that have created this circus that are to blame.

I went to a Spurs v 'European team' game a few seasons ago on a corporate invite - at the pre match dinner there were 6 famous Spurs legends there Chivers, Jennings etc all working the tables and proudly enjoying being part of the club still - there is no way the current generation of players will stick around that long to become embedded in its culture and future.

Football will come a cropper one day - sadly not for a considerable time yet.
