Actually thought Townsend had a fairly decent game tbf.

Ajayi and Bartley were good, nullified Vokes well.

Furlong was good also.

Overall good defensive performance actually. Smile

Did I mention it was good? Tongue

Seen the Sky highlights and again impressive. The pass from Sawyers which led to HRK hitting the post was sublime.

2 clear at the top again. HRK is really showing his worth as an impact player. Poor when he starts but does the job when off the bench.

Agree Josh, HRK seems to do well off the bench. Charlie A still seems to be struggling a bit though.

Sawyers ran the game in the middle, and was really impressive. Still can't believe we got him for that fee... absolute bargain!

Ajayi too.

Sawyers was class, we got a real bargain, I wonder if he would have got the same experience if he'd stayed at the Albion.
Pereira had one of his lesser games but was getting hacked every time he got the ball, Diangana also. Thought their guy could have easily got sent off for the penalty tackle.

Yeah he should of seen red for that, no malice intended, but it was clumsy and dangerous.

I don't think Austin is up to it.  IMO we definitely need to sign a striker in January.

Dwight Gayle would be the obvious and popular choice, but how much would we have to pay?

Personally think, if we're going to break the bank for a striker, I would like to see us go for someone like Karlan Grant (cue the howls of derision from Amelia, Snoots and co. Whistle )

I know he's only been at Huddersfield since January, and they would probably never let him go, but he proved he was prem quality and imo is the best striker in the division.

He would be lethal for us with with Sawyers, Pereira, Diangana and Phillips providing him, and is only 22 yo.

Anyway, just a thought, and probably a pipe dream, but thats who I'd go for.

Certainly need a new striker. Austin has had his chance and is less then impressive.

We know Karlan Grant will be wanted in January. The Huddersfield Examiner ran an article only yesterday as to how much he would be worth.
So start your bids around the twenty million mark. Whistle
