The days are long gone when a visit to the Potteries was the most dreaded fixture in the Albion calendar, but there's a certain pressure on nevertheless as the Baggies head up the M6 to Stoke on Monday night. Those feet of clay have struggled to find the net this season, and in consequence, with the team propping up the Championship after losing ten from fourteen, the Potters have very considerately sacked Nathan Jones days before they're due to play us. But whatever the effect of that dismissal, Albion really have to start grinding out wins against struggling teams to stamp our authority on a wide-open promotion race, and having done the double over the Potters last year, this is a big opportunity to do just that.

In true Baggies style we'll head to a rock bottom club who've just sacked their manager and lose.

Go on, SB's Baggies - show us you're made of stronger stuff this year!

In spite of my fears, I think we WILL be OK here; 2 - 0 to us.

Mind you, I DID think that we'd beat SA quite well today too!

i look at all our fixtures in this league and honestly cannot see any easy ones. As ska'd rightly pointed out, latter day visits to the potters are not as fraught as they used to be , Ironically during the pulls era particularly. Nevertheless I am worried about this one. They're bottom, they hardly score, they just sacked the manager, easy three points if you're a betting man but I won't be coming out from behind the sofa to place any bets tomorrow night. Perhaps I should book myself into the studio for vocal practice and switch off from it all till the end.:/

1-0 up inside eight minutes. Don't want to speak too soon, but it's not hard to see why the Clayheads are bottom defending like that.

Expected to get a second before half time.

Frustrating.

I am never comfortable until we have 3!
