Well that was a top notch display yesterday. Three cracking goals won it for us, but the victory was built on the back of another superb all round defensive display. Captain Christopher Courageous is back to his best and the now inspired looking Elphick looks more like a centre back with all the experience we were told we had signed, instead of the dopey kid we had in the opening few matches. That's probably down to having another experienced defender in Simpson at right back, solid again despite playing more games in a week than he had previously all year. And at left back another great performance from young Jaden, again looking like he's come from a Premier League Academy, and no Poch, you can't have him back.
Glad to see Diakhaby starting in the home game. He has the potential to be one of our best wingers now he's being coached by someone who knows how to get the best out of him. Similar to legend David Cowling, who's first few games were met with derision by many Town supporters, this lad could have a certain hairdresser eating humble pie by the end of the season. Trev had another solid game as did Kacha. O'Brien brilliant again, covering every blade and showing some good skills on the ball. He's earned the right to have his own chant so soon into his Town career as well.

Hoggy was immense once more but rightly subbed off for once. His ball playing confidence isn't there yet and Danny boy brung on the Bacuna, who is now showing the form he was at the back end of last season.
Bacuna and Diakhaby set up Grant for the first goal, but what a superb finish. Must've won goal of the day on Sky Sports news (but I bet it didn't). If Rooney had scored one like that, we would be seeing it for months to come. And Bacuna's goal, another great shot from a lad who's been inspired to just get in there and have a go. But best of all, what a moment for Elias Kachunga. His first goal at the JSS since he scored against PNE in the promotion season and how he showed it. The emotion just took over him. This bloke loves this club and really enjoyed his one man wave to the Cowshed at the end.
The Grumpy old farkers in the box behind us chose man of the match and they chose Adama Diakhaby. Excellent choice, especially as they have been some of the ones bawling abuse at him whenever he's played before, so good on them and hope they enjoyed their slice of that pie and hope they've saved a bit for grumpy old Glennon.
