No compromise. We’re halfway there   Smile

Diangana looks a brilliant player with touch, speed and vision.
Same goes for Pereira. He’s also been very good.

You should have seen his goal v Blackburn. Made out of nowhere, outstanding finish.

Match stats make the result look even better.
Albion 54% possession, 15 shots, 7 on target.
QPR 5 shots, none on target.
A long way on from Pulis.

But did they work 'aard! That's all that counts, forget passing to feet and moving the ball creatively, it's all about working 'aard!

Can’t really fault anyone, Ferguson was excellent, the trickery of Diangana and Pereira, but think Bartley needs a mention, solid rock in defence.

Top of the league (well for a couple of hours) and a clean sheet as well.

C'mon, DB, you know that's just not true! I know for a fact that Natalie is an Ipswich fan, 'cos they named the ground after her

Nathan Ferguson is signed-up until the end of this season. He should be offered a lengthy new contract now to stop the vultures circling.
He’s a local lad who’s been with the club since he was 8 years old and turning into a very good prospect.

We need to get something out of the televised Leeds game on Tuesday night to underline our challenge.
Just think, if we still had Rodriguez and Gayle, we would now be well clear at the top of the league.

After the start made by our centre forwards and HRK's appearances from the bench, should SB consider trying him from the start? He certainly looked more dangerous that Austin did today. I have no doubt CA is a better overall striker, though with our current style of play, in effect anyone of 4 regularly in the most forward position, would HRK, as well as chipping in himself, provide more effective hold up play than the other two, allowing others more goal scoring opportunities? We also saw towards the end the opportunity for (I think) Diangana when two QPR player went with HRK instead of closing Diangana down, not to mention he was responsible for winning the free kick, which got us the second, as well as bringing QPR down to 10 men.

Natalie says Albion's her second team, just to please me. Mind you Sandra Bullock said that also and I didn't believe her either.

For me, it really felt for the first time today that we clicked into gear and played the full ninety minutes rather than having to adjust the gameplan halfway. You wouldn't have guessed that QPR were a form team on home soil to watch the match. The clean sheet is almost as good as the win; hopefully the confidence from this will stand us in good stead on Tuesday.

Leeds currently losing at Charlton as things stand, too.

It’s fantastic to see us top of the table after 9 matches. With how tight it is at the top, we might only have one weekend as leaders but that’s more than I expected for this season to be honest. I thought 3rd would be our ceiling for this season.

Fantastic work all round by the players, coaches and staff.

I also couldn’t help but notice that in our 18 man squad today, there was only 5 white players and when Hegazi is back and O’Shea drops out, it will be down to 4.

So much for Adrian Durham’s insinuation about us being a racist club after we sacked Big Dave.

I'm always wary when a striker who has yet to score makes a media interview/broadcast claiming he is now fit and ready to start scoring
lots of goal. Austin needs putting on the bench that's for sure, he has cursed himself.
It's not a worry we are top of the league and have the best GD - happy days.
Bilic will begin to rotate the squad Austin is destined for the bench IMO, but remember we are still growing and learning as a squad, further improvement is still to come.
Credit goes to Bilic - his use of substitutes and timing is spot on in every game IMO. His use of Ferguson deserves a mention also.
I don't believe any of our last few managers would have given him a game.
