I’m especially pleased we’ve got Romaine Sawyers back. I’m not convinced about our attack, and Gayle was a glaring opportunity missed, I don’t care what his wage demands were. Strikers like him don’t grow on trees at this level. But Charlie Austin is a predator and I hope he remains injury-free. Ska’d is right about Millwall too, they will be difficult.

Maybe due to lack of playing time hopefully and our coaching team will get him into trim.

This is the aries22man.
Wotcher Baggieman. Austin’s always been a bit on the stocky side, so let’s hope he lays off the Banks’s  Laugh

Hey Ariesman.....  How you doin’ ?

Agree it was very disappointing that we couldn’t sign Gayle.  I understand he wanted a permanent contract and not another loan and decided to stay at Toon-Town and fight for his place.

Why we didn’t take him for circa £12m on a 2/3 year contract I’ll never know.  Maybe his wages were an issue.

Just hope ‘Chazzer’ Austin makes a high goal contribution towards the 45 that Gayle and JayRod scored between them.

70% plus possession and only three shots on target, eight corners says it all.
Need to get the strikers striking with the new signings.

Back down to earth with a bang...

Couldn't pick out a single player who played well.

Such a lack of movement and creation in the "forward" and attacking midfield 3. Terrible would be an understatement.

The midfield holders were both drab. Livermore couldn't do anything right, while Sawyers seemed content on recycling the ball backwards rather than ever going forward.

Is it too early to slag Bilic off? Because my early indications are that he's just as clueless as Pardew.
