Good half, look a lot better than we did at Forest last year at this point.

Just a couple of worries - Zohore and Livermore.

Zohore looks like an absolute donkey, which is worrying because that's what I thought when I saw him play a few times for Cardiff. Basic touch and passing is woeful. Livermore looks even more cumbersome than ever, particularly with Sawyers and Krovinovic as they can actually play.

Ajayi, Sawyers and Krovinovic looking the part so far. Ferguson not looking out of his depth either. Phillips and Edwards both looking dangerous going forward.

Just a shame we look so impotent up top.

Great result to kick things off, and though there are obvious areas for improvement, the performance was also better than I'd dared hope for. The youngsters really shone, we're playing with proper pace and verve and invention for the first time in years (with the honourable exception of what Harvey Barnes gave us for a few months last year), and you can only imagine what a force we might have been if we still had J-Rod and Gayle up top with this midfield. Very happy and newly optimistic.

Agree with Ska a better performance than I expected, solid defensively (after the first 10 minutes). Ferguson the most tackles and the most touches in the game looks really promising. On a more worrying note Livermore could have costs us the game a few times with sloppy passes and losing the ball, just hope it was one of his nightmare games. Phillips as well looked a bit sloppy and looked totally kn-ackered after 50 minutes, bent over hands on knees trying to catch his breath I guess, must be hard trying to keep up with all the kids. Zahore I will give a couple more games to see what happens, did Burke actually touch the ball apart from that one clearance?

Overall a happy bunny.

Saw the last 20 and was impressed by the general drive /desire, and also the touch of many of the kids. Great promise!
Salop.... IMHO Burke looked pretty sharp - eg won a ball in last 10 mins into RH corner flag which was/should've been the defender's ball by a mile!
Optimistic.... 2 or 3 more in and I really believe we can have a great year

Didn’t watch the match because I was at work but I’m pleased with the result.

It’s good to see Bilic sticking with Ferguson and Edwards. I don’t think Big Dave would have.

Just a few observations;
Johnstone worries me, is he really better than bond.
Back four was solid, impressed with ferguson and liked gibbs link up play with the impressive edwards.
Sawyers, krovonovich ( or however you spell it ) and phillips until he tired look like a formidable midfield.
Issues for me though, first impression of zohore is not good and i dont think burke is good enough. Livermore was a liability.
Mostly positive today, already think bilic is a great appointment, just need a striker or two.
