Great player but IMO but would drift in / out of games and missed far to many games especially in his last 6 years.
Never really replicated his Liverpool form at any other clubs = again that's just my opinion.
His strike rate for Liverpool was phenomenal and IIRC correctly still holds record for fastest 100 goals.

Whiteside again IIR still holds several records for youngest scorer and player in various games / Competitions.
He wasn't an out and out striker more of an attacking midfielder, but more influential in games - again IMO.

Stattos: Has any Visitor ever beaten Michael Owen's 4-goal tally at The Hawthorns 2002-3?

Why! oh why! would we want him anyway ? Averaged 17 games a season, scoring an average of 4 goals a season.
Forget him 16 goals in 4 years  Doh

Just another little lie from Jenkins !!

And he's far from fit :-)

West Brom are set to offer Gareth Barry a new contract once he recovers from injury.

The 38-year-old featured in 24 matches last season.

Maybe he can write the matchday programs  while he is sitting in the hydropool ?
Can he play RB or CF ?
