Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation
We either have to have the Gareth Barry's of this world, older great players winding down, free transfers, big wages or untried youngsters / foreigners on transfer fees but lower wages. The other option is the lower league option ..... loan a team, give it back every summer for a new loan team. This breeds a club with no pride, no passion, jusr revolving door players.

I understand and respect all the posts and threads guys. My concern is the clubs in the EFL on average get £20 million a season gift / subsidy / loan from their owners to survive. Those that don't get relegated sooner or later. With LAI refusing to invest where does that leave us? You can only sell the family silver once.

Ultimately we knew that cost cutting measures would dominate our summer failing promotion and so I’m not overly shocked by the Gayle news but the “trust us” and the faux ultimatum regarding staff redundancy has rubbed me up the wrong way just a little bit.
From the top I just wish they would all fook off !!!

Rumours circulating Hughton doesn't want the job but wait for it .....

I give up !!!!

Hughton probably needs a break from the game and who can blame him really after 3 and a bit seasons at Brighton.

I’m still hoping Markus Anfang pops up for us before Hamburg come calling (Hamburg’s Sporting Director was with Anfang at Holstein Kiel) but I can’t see our people even knowing who he is.

Hughton - Probably got a nice gardening leave present from Dan linked to staying out of work for a while.

A new conspiracy theory is flying around.
The club continue to interview managers left right and centre, we the fans get so fed up with them and us being rejected?
So we call for Shan and Appy to be appointed.
The cheap option they wanted all along ? We will see what comes to pass.

Papers in northern Ireland saying WBA have approached Michael o'neill.

O'Neill has asked about what budget will be available to buy new players. He has failed the interview. Jenkins laughed and put the phone down.

I think it's going to be a poison chalice for whoever gets the job really, based on Dowling's statement.

We are probably going to need a miracle worker to get us promoted if we're already ruling out certain signings without even knowing how much we will make of transfers and save on salaries from others sales.

However I like O'Neill. He's done an excellent job with Northern Ireland with what is a very limited squad of players. We might need a motivator type with what will probably be a decimated squad, and he is certainly that.

Bottom line is until the club work out - we cannot sustain ourselves without investment in the championship. The good ship baggies is going to sink. We the fans also need to wake up to this as well. Im tired of being in a majority of one for months only for the penny to drop when it's to late. I'm not spreading doom I'm trying to open a few eyes. Either Lai invests or he sells us. Or we fall apart.
