[b]LAST MATCH

We bounced back from the draw at Norwich with a good win against a playoff chasing side. A wonder strike from Bannan and a nice finish from Joao gave us the 3 points and still mathematically in the playoff hunt though realistically we would need several teams to make a complete mess of things. Dawson continued in net and had to make a few saves late on to preserve the clean sheet and the 3 points. Bannan's goal was a beauty, a 30 yard dipping effort and it was Bannan's pass that put Joao through to chip the keeper and the defender couldn't keep it from going into the net.

THE MATCH

Our final away game of the season see's us travel to Preston, who will be in the Championship next season as they now cant make the playoffs. They don't have any particularly stand out players and are managed by Alex Neil who recently signed a 3 year contract extension. We will be looking for our 7th away win of the season and will be backed by 5,500 fans so it will be good to finish our away record with a win on the road.

Cheers, Kev  Thumb up

We're just going through the motions now, aren't we? With any luck Boyd will come down with an explosive bout of diarrhea and Linekar himself on the pitch.

Never an easy game at North end always a 50/50 afair and the stats show that over our history we are currently only one game better off than them in all competitions. While i think we will win saturday if we keep it tight at the back and put away our chances (said micheal owen Doh ) but i mean we wont get many chances so the few we do again we are going to have to be clynical or just score goals of the season like we do Whistle

I also believe that Reading will get a point Borro and Derby will draw with the Tittys Thumb up but with there games in hand its still all too much ...and then theres the pigs who will put us to shme on saturday Doh while from a tactical point of view of next season im glad Thumb up its got my blood churning thinking that they will be representing sheffield (the small club ) and not us in the premier next season Angry there crowds will go up and again we will have no bragging rights about nothing Doh

Not sure what team he will play as obviously Mondays game will have took its toll on some ! but we know that Fletcher is fresh so he starts for sure hopefully not Palmer though Doh and does he let dawson run out the season or bring back westwood who is only a wednesday player for the next 2 games ?

Still can't believe the village went up with a negative GD and without actually scoring a goal themselves in the play offs Huh

SB Presser highlights:

SB: When you walk through the door here there is huge expectation and I’m delighted with how the last three months have gone but there is a lot of work ahead
SB: Kieran Lee might be involved tomorrow, he’s trained for the past two or three weeks, played for the 23s and he could be involved. For him more than anybody, I’m delighted he’s in and around
SB: We would love to bring Michael Hector back, we will have to speak to Chelsea, he has another year on his contract but I would love to bring him back if I could
SB: I couldn’t have wished for a more positive response from everyone here, it’s been terrific and the challenge ahead is an exciting one
SB: It looks as though we will fall short but credit to the players for how they’ve turned it around. We’ll go to Preston and do our job as best we can and see what we can do. It’s a difficult place to go
SB: Unfortunately Lazaar is sick and it’s unlikely Reach will play in the final two games as he is struggling with a knee injury
SB: Keiren Westwood trained yesterday with no reaction which is positive
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.
