Scottish Cup quarter final v Celtic, Sat 2 March, KO 5.15pm

The 2nd part of an Embro "double" for Lenny and Celtic and one can only hope that Hibs unbeaten run continues under Heckingbottom. We must "go for it" and hope our strikers perform well in a home tie that could produce a historical result that stops Celtic's quest for that "triple treble". I think it will be tough but it is a one off cup tie and lets hope the guys play as if their lives depended on it!!

I'm really looking forward to this game. Lennon being with them gives it some extra spice.

Apart from broony their midfield looks very light, and they have no Christie, mcgregor or rogic. Our new manager has got the players playing for him and looking "up for it".

Bring it on!!!

This could turn out to be a cracker now that Hibs are starting to get their form back and with Lennon being Celtic boss it adds a bit of bite to the game.
Many Hibbees feel that Lennon engineered his way out of Easter Road and will never forgive him for that so a victory for us will be extra sweet.
We beat them on their last visit, we can do it again.

FT 0-2 and both Embro footie clubs routed in the space of three days!! Hibs 1st half display was OK but my criticism of the second half performance is scathing!! The manager played a 4-4-2 formation but that line up becomes useless if both attacking flank positions are ineffective - the contribution from both flanks was "rank rotten" for most of this match TBF!!! And there were some good attacking positions but no quality service at all!! Another issue I can't figure is why did the manager bring on big Marv when the guy has not played any match for a while due to injury - we lost a goal as a result and Marv was not "up to speed" for this level of match!!!! IMO that was sheer negligence by Heckingbottom! Add in the fact that the manager opted for "sitting in" v the Hoops particularly in the 2nd half, then we were "done", albeit by two goals that were "screamers", season over!!! This was a cup tie and yet no adventurous attitude to play it that way. I suspect this is the way that PH is gonna play v most of the footie clubs above us!!? We'll see how effective that is gonna be!

Thought we did ok 1st half, there wasn't much in it. 2nd half seemed like we set up to contain them which was pointless when we really needed to win the tie at home. When Lennon moved forrest inside and played Edouard in his normal position they were far better than us and they probed and passed us out the game.

Problem is Milligan or Bartley just don't have the mobility for those kind of tactics and we totally ran out of legs in midfield. Slivka and omeonga both played well though.

Push for a top 6 place now and a rebuild in the summer coming up.

After the disgraceful incident of bottle throwing at Easter Road on Saturday, I'm glad to see Leeann has got the cretins in her sights and is gunning for them. All supporters should be doing their bit to get rid of these morons.

Absolutely! There are a lotta morons from certain other Scot footie clubs who have been trying so hard down the years to add Hibs to a list of perennial offenders but HFC is nowhere near that kinda insinuation, never has been, and that is because of a set policy that was established decades ago to eradicate the worst forms of fan behaviour with instructions issued to supporters' bus conveners, HSA officials etc to preach this policy and follow a good conduct code of practise re supporting the team properly. We are not perfect but Hibs are generally a very good progressive footie club with a great fan base to back it up. We need to find that idiot who tarnished the club's good name, no doubt in a drink-related incident that definitely "crossed a red line"!!

Its becoming more prevalent now with missiles being thrown at players and officials. Its out of order and something needs to be done about it.

If that bottle had hit Sinclair it could have killed him.
