[b]LAST MATCH

Steve Bruce's first game in charge and a deserved 3 points against the bottom team. We bossed most of the game but missed a number of chances as our finishing wasn't up to scratch. It was left to Joao to finally put the ball in the net after good play from Reach down the right before pulling the ball back for Joao to finish. 3-0 would have been a more fairer score-line but it was an encouraging start under SB and hopefully we can end the season on an upbeat note

THE MATCH

SB first home game in charge sees Reading make the journey north. Reading have had a poor season and languish in the bottom three and will have a fight on there hands to stay in the Championship. They have a newish manager in Jose Gomes but haven't had the new manager bounce teams look for. They managed a draw at home to Villa last time out though that was overshadowed by the Tyrone Mings incident.

THE TEAM

Will Bruce keep the same line-up that got us 3 points or will the 3 new signings get a chance? I think he might keep the same line-up but have the 3 new signings on the bench.

Nice one, Kev.

I keep being held up by the last image of bouncing breasts, this is taking ages to type Laugh

Seriously, we should be putting this lot down. though we struggled against Ipswich I can imagine this will be of a similar fashion.
I'd really like to see Iorfa in for Palmer straight away, Boyd making everyone a cup of tea at HT or ballboying.

2-1 Fletcher

.....just seen the name Derek Dooley. Before my time, but I remember hearing all about him. He was some hero for Wednesday, wasn't he?
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Played and managed for Wednesday.

62 goals in 61 appearances before career ending injury.
Managed us for a couple of seasons before being sacked on Christmas eve 1973.

A goal in each half for a 2 - 0 win, with a couple of the new signings and Joao to start, I can't see anything else but another win for us.
Bruce will be motivated to get us above AV, he will be determined to get points the on the board.
2 games in hand and 6 points to make up. Handy target for Bruce and us to aim for at this point of the season.
