Merry Christmas Town fans!

Time to resurrect the Christmas / New Year thread.
Would it be wrong of me to say that you all should take part? ... No just looking on, get involved!

That match was a right cracker

Much talk lately of the Christmas Truce 1914 and the "friendly" in no man's land.

Do you believe it happened?

Whether that did or not, this classic definitely did ...

1983 Town v Bradford City: We won 6-3 when we met on New Year's Day in the old Division Three.

Can you think of any more? We're struggling. There was of course the case of Stan Ternent's turkey dinner and a visit to Carlisle on Boxing Day but that's not quite what I mean by classic!

He's behind you

Who is your pantomime villain of the football world? Who would be the ugly sister, Captain Hook, Cruella De Ville or Wicked Witch? Choose as many as you like.

Here are some suggested by the Guardian.

Who do you look at and would boo without a second glance?

Although I don't go in for booing, the one that gets my hackles up is Craig Bellamy.

Or perhaps it's Robbie Savage, who I'm not quite sure deserved his reputation ...

Or someone who did ...

Ron Chopper Harris

It's the way I tell 'em

Christmas Cracker jokes are notoriously bad ...

What kind of motorbike does Santa ride?

A Holly Davidson!

Tell us one!

To repeat or not to repeat

What do you look forward to watching this festive season? Same old classics or anything new that's taken your fancy?

I'm looking forward to Downton, Strictly and Mrs Brown's Boys.

Can't believe the Radio Times is £3.60 this year!

Finally, should auld acquaintance be forgot ...

What's in store for your New Year's celebration?

If you sing Auld Lang Syne, we have it on good authority that you shouldn't cross your arms until the last verse.

Just remembered a Boxing Day classic. They're usually drab nowadays, due to the Constabulary insisting on no Category A games during the holiday period, but way back in 1983, we played at Bellend Road and won 2-1. I think it was Colin Russell and Mark Lillis with the goals.
Don't remember much else as it really was a shit ground then, much more than it is now, and the pathetically small pen we were penned into had a shocking view. I remember playing dodge the bricks afterwards though. Whistle
