Well that was 2 points dropped as we failed to take our chances and let in a sloppy goal as we started the new year with a draw. We controlled the majority of the game and took the lead when Fletcher finished with a quick turn and shot. We started slowly the 2nd half and let Brum level, a simple long ball, flick on and finish. We bucked our ideas up after that and had a number of chances to win the game but Lee Camp made some good saves as we couldn't capitalize on a good performance. Still, 2 wins and 2 draws since Dross left and things are at least looking up and with Bruce coming in at the start of Feb, hopefully the future holds better things to come.

Next up the FA Cup 3rd Rd as we host an in form Luton team. We haven't played these in over a decade and haven't beaten them since 1992 with 4 draws and 4 defeats in our last 8 games. With us staring at mid table mediocrity a cup run is the only realistic thing to hope for. There has only ever been one cup game v Luton and that was in the league cup back in 84 when Andy Blair scored a hat trick of penalties in a 4-2 win. Be interesting to see how both teams line up with Luton going so well in the league will they rest some of there first teamer's or play the with the chance of a giantkilling.

Massively unfair on Bruce!!! He lost both his parents while at Villa and vowed to his family to spend some wuality time with them before getting back into football. I want a manager that sticks to his principals and promises!!
