Midfield shorn of anyone that had played a full game, so chance to change it up or ask the lads to play the same way? So, I watched the first half while applying shaving foam so I could shave the hairs off the palms of my hands. (Refer to later comments on the Newcy thread). In other words nowt changed and we went in 2 down.
We changed it up a bit, but not enough in the 2nd half. Long prong Phil Bill scored a worldy and the we give them the 3rd Xmas present of the December season. Schindler should not have been in that position, but he should equally have tapped it out for a corner. December was the month to gather points, but it hasn't happened. Creek, paddle, up, shit, without, a. Shuffle to make a well known phrase. I'm over the moon Brian at having tickets for Fulham, Cardiff and train tickets for Chelski. Wagbo, change it up will ya? Not that you read this anyway.

Plenty of possession with little to show for it yet again. Definitely need a fairly reliable Premiership striker in January before the curse of The Flying Dutchman (by Wagner) strikes.

Too many injuries. Squad ain't good enough. Only player to come out of today with any credit was big Phil.

Bloody awful yesterday, 1 shot wide first half, terrible defending, individual errors and confidence just ebbed away.
Big Col and Kach struggling for bench places sent on we were that short of personnel and 3 home games lost where we took 7 points last season leaves us firmly rooted. With Deano in hospital, just who are we going to sign without being held hostage to ridiculous wages, fees to sign them on loan even or no-one at all, Waggers is really under pressure to deliver here. I'd heard in the boozer before Hoggy was injured ( heard from a lad who was told by a lad who works in the menswear shop in Mirf that he'd been in shopping this week which raised the question) and that it might be more than just yesterday, personally I'd rest him at Manchestore if it means he plays V Fulham and Burnley 2 much more potential games for us. Worryingly Soton looked a decent good mid table team, knocked it around, carried it well, passed and moved quickly, clinical finishing we looked lower Championship at best and got exactly what we deserved.

The way I see it, we have the following options
1) Do nothing, spend nothing and relegation is just a matter of time. 2) Back the manager in the transfer window. 3 or 4 quality loan signings to get us out of this mess and that means a massive outlay on loan fees and wages 3) Sack Wagner. For me option 1 is a no go so it’s down to Dean to decide between 2 and 3

Don't see the point in option three, not many managers out there that make you feel any more confident.
It also puts a big downer on dean and the clubs integrity as dean has come out and publicly stated he wont sack wagner regardless of what happens this season, if he goes back on that he becomes no better an owner than those idiotic foreign ones we love to despise. Finally, getting rid of him guarantees neither better football nor safety. We've got to be careful what we wish for there

Sack Wagner and bring in Mourinho. I think that's what some fans think we can get.

Anyway, so bloody what if we do go down? None of us ever had ambitions to get to the Premier League in the first place.
![]() And if we do go down, who better to bring us back up than David Wagner? Don't give me Mark Hughes. Don't give me bloody Allardyce. I'd rather get relegated with Wagz than stay up with any bugger else. ![]() ![]() |
