Hibs v Celtic, Sun 16 Dec, KO 12.30pm

This may be an ideal time for Hibs to play the Hoops as they have really been given the "runaround" tonight by a top class Salzburg team that deservedly beat them at Celtic Park and it looks like they have picked up various injuries although we are apparently "in the same boat". Bartley and Milligan added to the injury list! I hope Lenny can somehow field a hi press Hibs team and "have a go" to win this match as the Hoops must be "leggy" after that "pounding" v RBSFC.

They are always poor after europe. I think we have a real chance of getting something if our defenders stay focused.

There's plenty of goals in this match. We have a chance but Celtic's fringe players are still better than ours. Got to give it a real go and a point would be a decent return.

It sounds like we are going to be short of a few of our regulars so the pressure will be on those that Lenny brings in to cover so we really don`t know what to expect. A decent performance will get us something from the game and a point will be very welcome but lets enjoy the game and hope for a good one.

Yassssssssss

Couldnae go the day as I'm crammed with the cold. But that was a much better level of performance, we worked our asses off the day and Celtic had no answers.

Hopefully we can turn the corner now and go on and get wins v Hertz and sevco. We are more than capable.

Special praise for young porteous and Mackie who were excellent .

A great result today from a Hibs point of view and I think the opening line of my OP was "spot on" - an ideal time to play the Hoops who definitely looked "out of sorts"! And two very good goals by Slivka and Kamberi, the former's goal being the 2nd fastest for this season, 42 secs - what a perfect start to the game! And what about Sean Mackie"s immaculate, diagonal pass to set up Flo Kamberi whose long awaited "strike" was exquisite! Thumb up Ryan Porteous definitely the MOTM with a terrific display of defensive cover and organisation. Great stuff and that sets us up nicely for the remaining festive fixtures although annoying that we've incurred another injury to Slivka and Broony lucky to just receive a yellow card for that nasty challenge on the Lithuanian!

The team did us, and themselves, proud today with a performance that will do a lot to restore the confidence they had been losing over the last 8 games.
This showing might kick start something better for the remainder of the season.
