PROTEST PROPOSED

I think they are embarrassed about a protest because a protest will gain media attraction and attention which it already has done and it's airing the dirty linen in public.

Suggestions for a mediator:

1 Teresa May - she`s not got a lot on at the moment.
2 Tony Blair - everybody trusts him.
3 The bloke who sits in the row behind me at the Proact every time I go - he clearly knows everything about everything.

A panel made up of those 3 should have it all sorted out in no time at all one of `em would probably win the Nobel Peace Prize as a result.

After all that, it turns out Mr Bean`s got the gig. Never thought of him.

What exactly have Geoff Miller and Bob Wilson done to upset you Dev?
Can you imagine trying to mediate between Ash and Cash on one side and Bobs Board members on the other?
Nice idea but even you have to admit there's no way on gods earth Dave Allen would sit at a table with a load of wank... sorry, football supporters and tell them why he has been so secretive withholding full accounts and where the alleged missing millions have gone plus why he persists in surrounding himself with fall guys (think he's on the last one now though, there's nobody left).

What 'alleged missing millions' are these, then? Not heard this one before.

Allegedly, when Cook was manager we had player sales of £4 or 5 million, gates of 8k plus and still manged a loss of well over £1 million. That was the year that DA decided that full accounts would not be given to anybody and only abbreviated accounts would be released. Not long after that the other investors / directors were told to depart but they would only be paid back their investments if they signed a non disclosure agreement.
The only director who stayed on was our Ash who was gifted £30k worth of shares and drives around in a Bentley.

The above may not be 100% correct as I cant be bothered to trawl back, but am sure you will get the gist.

I`m a bit out of touch down here so I hadn`t heard those rumours but, yes, I do get the gist.

I`m amazed the FA allows that - the non-disclosure of full accounts, I mean. Mind you, I`ve always said that football`s finances are the finances of the madhouse and I suspect that it`s a similar tale at most clubs that are in private ownership. It would explain why so many dodgy foreign 'businessmen' are so keen to buy into football in this country. I wonder what the legal position would be if somebody applied to see the full accounts under Freedom of Information Act disclosure rules?

Then again, football is no different to the society in which it exists. I think I`ve mentioned before that I worked in the City for a while at one time (many years ago now); believe me, I could tell a few stories about the financial shenanigans that went on there that make your hair curl.
