Is this the best time to play Liverpool or the most dangerous?
They are probably up for this more than the Merseyside Derby

Subseptable to crosses and a keeper who is glued to the line, they cant defend from set pieces either though they dont become a bad team overnight and didnt come second just because of two players on the pitch.

I`m still predicting a win for Utd though, onwards and upwards

I suppose there is a chance that both sets of fans are asking the same question of the other team!! Liverpool have not looked good for a while now and I don't expect that to change, but while Utd are on a good run of results, their performances are hardly inspiring!! This game could be won by whoever scores the first goal and the head of the other team go down. Both are fragile if they get behind!!

3-0 up as I speak, are you sitting comfortable Mr Rodgers?

Ive read a lot grumbling about Liverpool not buying World Class players the reason for their slump, tell you what when Liverpool were the Kings of Europe they never bought World class players they developed them-Daglish, Barnes, Kennedy, Beardsley, Lawrenson etc all became the finished articles on moving there others like Rush, Hansen were really brought through from much smaller clubs.
Can, Markovic and the recent set of buys have the ability to be really good, why should Liverpool pay 50M for a striker, Suarez was an established player in the Erdeviste but other top European teams were hardly snapping their hands off to get him and not every top scorer in that league has had the success of van Nistelrooy in the EPL

Liverpool were an impressive second last year, possibly the best looking partnership up front since Rush/Daglish or at least Aldridge/Beardsley and yet if I was to go on talent i`d pick Litmanen/Fowler ahead of Suarez/Sturridge but there you go
S and S were remarkable last year and even as a Utd fan bloody brilliant but two players do not make a team, just because Suraez at Barca and Sturridge injured its not the only reason for the crappola season. Gerrard the legend of Anfield has blown hot and cold, new players havent settled, Skrtel who was almost Baresi last year has gone back to being pants, Mignolet has been found out great shot stopper but nervous as hell and glued to his line, Henderson the engine room deployed on the wing (shades of Daglish management) a supposedly very tired Sterling.
I think they`ll turn it around but its their turn to have the season we did last year by the look of it

This was a strange game in some ways!! A 3-0 win for the home team usually means a fairly dominating performance but in reality there wasn't a lot between the teams on the day. Both teams have very shaky defences, and both would have conceded goals against better teams. The total difference between the sides was the quality of the forwards - Rooney and RVP shone bright today, Sterling and Balotelli failed miserably!! Sterling in particular showed he is a winger, not a striker, and missed at least 4 grat opportunities, especially the one in the second half where he delayed hitting the ball!! Balotelli should have scored three goals in the second half and a combination of bad misses and great goalkeeping kept him out.

You say Liverpool were not a two man team last season, I would argue thats exactly what they were, it was the Suarez and Sturridge show and as they scored first most of the time the other teams had to attack and that just left more space for the most clinical duo the Prem has seen in many years!! Had Sturridge played today, then I think Liverpool may even have won that game!!

Just to add, Gerrard obviously isn't the player he was but he can still play an important part for them this season. The problem is due to their lack of confidence or ability in midfield, too much is expected of him every game, and Gerrard being Gerrard will continue too get well forward exposing the defence!!
