Another question, why no Onomah tonight?

I get playing Pelupessy as it allows Bannan to drift around leaving Joey to cover, but it seemed that part way through the game Hector moved forward into the midfield holding role, Thorniley covered him at CH and Penney dropped deeper, thats when we should have replaced Pelupessy with Onomah and been more creative and forward thinking.

Lees is an old fashioned defender, he struggles playing out from the back when put under pressure and Boro did a good job of closing us down when we tried to play out from the back. He needs a captain alongside him, he hasn't become a bad defender, he is low on confidence but being captain has never suited him.

Penney was due a bad game, its what you get from 20 year olds. If we are going to persist with the youngsters we need to give them a game off every so often, unfortunately we don't have a lot of back up in certain positions to do that.

Ayala should have been booked early for diving in the area. Then red for elbow. Then two more yellow card tackles, of which he finally only received one..
Some very dodgy officiating yet again.
Boro players constantly leaning in to Wednesday players and falling on to the ball... That pile of players at the end was a joke, never seen anything like it, with a player on his knees behind the line trying to push the pile back over the line.. I swear weaver has taught dawson todo this if i remember he was a puncher of the ball aswell !
as for the refs i didnt expect anything different when i saw darren bond was the 4th official yet agan wednesday didnt do there homework and were not wise as to what would happen the difference aswell was the capatains one forever complaining and ours only worried about if he could make a 4yard pass or keep up with the pace

i also think joss called it completly wrong down the left with downing not picking our exspieranced Pudil and when after 30 minutes you could see how shit it was and what would happen next he failed to change

Having watched a replay of the Ayala/Fletcher incident, I don’t blame the ref for the non-decision. As they came together you can see a player get right into the line of sight of the ref just as Ayala lifts up his arm, no way the ref could see it. No excuses for the linesman on that side though, he should have clearly seen it and told the ref about it.
