Disappointed, a chance to put down a marker and maybe get a decent draw / cup run has been missed.
Give the kids a chance yes, but give them a chance to compete ....... still in the game at half time take off HRK and put on a goal scoring option ...... someone to occupy their defence, seems a defender was so under employed he scored the second ...... I could be wrong, I didn't see the game, the stats seem pretty even, should have made better changes ...... BD still learning but needs to sort out his tactics ......

Are well ....... promotion and FA cup ..... that will do!

By the way not dissing Big Dave ...... love him, legend, but some of his changes do baffle.

What I don't understand was why we continued to persist with 3 at the back when Moore made the changes.

We were getting bossed in midfield (again) and Moore's changes were simply like for like.

If the formation isn't working, just replacing players with other players doing the same job isn't going to change anything.

As we've seen in EVERY away game this season, the formation leaves us a body light when trying to pass forwards as our 3 centre backs just stand square of each other.

This leads to us tip tapping around at the back followed by a hoof when we are in the sh*te. Midfielders lacking any forward pass option as there are constantly 3 players behind them, rather than 2 if we had a 4 man defence.

I'm surprised at Robson Kanu getting criticised because I thought he was one of the better performers. He showed good touch, held the ball up well, passed well. The problem was that we couldn't play through midfield to get anything going. IMO it wouldn't matter who we had up front, without Barnes or Phillips creating something from nothing the forward is just a spectator in this formation because it doesn't lend itself to playing through the middle of the park.

It seems that whenever we have faced a challenge this season, Moore doesn't have a plan B. It was crying out for us to revert to a back 4 and replace a centre half with a midfielder but we just saw like to like changes.

I realise it's not an important game but what it does show is a lack of tactical awareness and how sh*te some of our squad players are. We could've conceded 7 or 8 if Palace were a bit more clinical, as our defending was equally terrible.
