why is it
whenever i view this site it says(whoever is online....and GUESTS)
who are these GUESTS?
some creepy party from Transylvania?
some people that decide to view but not join up?
oi guests stop being guests and join in
after all what ya got to lose?

Could be Quantum that they are members who simply haven't logged on.

Did that myself a while ago but I stay logged in now.

QE, I started work recently at the Royal Shrewsbury hospital, made friends with another baggie, a season ticket holder, I told him about our site, he recently viewed it and liked it but doesn't feel he can do it justice as a member so will continue to view but not sign up ....... there are probably many people who are in similar circumstances. Not everyone is technology happy or up to speed to risk signing up. Each to their own.

Being invisible is an option we all have, don’t know why you would do it though. Also remember that search engines and bots such as Google, Bing, Badu etc show up as guests as well as people who just like to read and not comment. On our Matchday thread we used to often have 30+ guests watching on, we used to challenge them and I know a few posters on here who finally took the plunge and signed up.

Lurkers aren't a problem I guess a couple are like Google Bots
Have to admit I lurk as a non-member on a couple of football forums, basically I wouldn't register because the "Ambience" isn't a patch on what it is on here, all types of trolling and often outright nastiness
We create a good ambience and good discussion threads throughout this board so eventually might get a few to sign up, I hope so!
