WBA vs Bristol City & Millwall

This is going to be fun (the football, not the QE/PP squabble...although that has potential). In defence of our defence, one of the issues is caused by us being so attacking. We seem to have 5 players looking to go forward which will inevitably lead to us being vulnerable at the back whoever is playing there. It also means that if an opposition attack breaks down, we are very dangerous. Personally I’ll take conceding 2 every game if we also score 4, even at the risk of my health. Let’s worry about this style’s suitability for the Prem when, or if, we get there.
On the issue of passing out from the back, I don’t think any of our goals conceded have actually come from this (yet).
They say that ignorance is bliss - no wonder so many people are happy.

It was certainly an entertaining game last night. We could have been three down after 90 seconds but Sam saved us and after weathering the Bristol City attacks, we tore them apart in a devastating 8 minute period. Harvey Barnes was my MOM although all the forwards played well. The team looked slightly more balanced with Barry in instead of Brunt, although I would like to see the youngsters given a chance to make their mark on the midfield. Our defence is still a major concern - we need to close down and not back off so much. Fair play to Bristol City who played some lovely football. Thank goodness their forwards are not as clinical as ours! Bring on Millwall on Saturday!

We must not forget ...... Bristol came into this game in third on a run of four straight wins ....... they are a very good championship side and play good attacking football ...... it was never going to be easy ..... we came thorough it with the points in the bag.

More concerning is our away games ...... we're not in most of them, our only success came at Norwich and even then we conceded three ......... needs a plan "b" and a "c" for away game.

This is the reason why I love this site and the posters on it. On other sites the little squabble would have been blown up by others jumping in and taking sides. On here the squabble becomes the butt of jokes and banter and any tension disappears.

Good apology Garry. Now let’s get back to what we do best on this site; good, honest debate and taking the piss out of our resident SeaWorld attraction, Free Beefy.
