Chatted to him a couple of times at Albion matches, and refreshingly nice bloke for a TV Presenter. The drink must be doing something right for him, if he can be bothered to talk to me, and show interest!
Same with his teetotal neighbour Frank, who I've walked up B'ham Road with 3 or 4 times - he's just naturally a very funny bloke.

Yeh but he never used to be tea total. Back in 1986/87 most weeks I would go to a comedy night at the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath, if you don't know the upstairs room, if memory serves, 100 people and it would be rammed. Every week Frank Skinner was the compare for the shows and most of the time, if there was 30 people it was well attended. I have seen times when there has just been me and one or two others. At the end of the night Frank would always come over and have a pint or 5 with us. Even then his comedy talent stood out. Still seems weird watching him on TV though.

Just bought Adrian Chiles's book ("We don't know what we're doing "). Only just started it but seems very good from first few pages with a massive Albion flavour.
Couldn't really NOT buy it as it was reduced from £12.99 to £1!
Anyone else read it?

Yeah I've read this before, very good and actually quite moving in some parts, one of the best football books i've read.
