Hibs v the Dons, Sat 25 August, KO 3.00pm

This match presents a bigger challenge for Hibs and we must try to win it if we are gonna be serious re mounting a quest for 2nd or 3rd spot in the Scottish Premiership. We are playing at home and it is imperative that Lenny tries to "shore up" a less than impressive Hibs defence. IMO our midfield formation v Ross Co was unbalanced and too lightweight to be given a second chance. Neil has more player options to "change it" - lets see how he tackles this game v opponents who have hardly lost a league game v Hibs for years. That has to change!!

Spot on 0762 this is a vital game for us and one we badly need to win if we are to be considered serious contenders for 2nd or 3rd spot come May. Although it is early in the season a defeat tomorrow could have a long term effect on our season.
Being positive I can see us winning by the odd goal in a drab dour game, but I`d take it now.

Aberdeen always manage to play well against us somehow, hoping for a good performance.

3 o clock on a saturday, a couple of pints in the club beforehand. The way fitba should be.

FT 1-1 and Andy Maclaren thankfully saves the day in the dying mins to ensure Hibs long unbeaten domestic record remains intact on a fine day for a game of footie - I'd say the least that we deserved in this match. We move on!

Disappointed we didn't win. Thought we played well and did enough much like v st johnstone.

Thought shaw toiled in the lone striker role, but horgan and mallan are both quality players. We gifted aberdeen a goal out of nothing really, keeper really should have done better.

Ref was appalling again, aberdeen basically booted us off the park without punishment. Once we get our players fit and new guys bedded in totally we will be good to go. Still think we need another couple of players though.

Aye! Very disappointed with Bogdan re that Dons' goal! He seems to have these "bad moments" now n again! As for that referee, Dallas? Another SFA assigned creton arrives at ER Stadium - bloody awful! GMS clearly head butts Porteous before the end of the 2nd half and that is a straight red card any day of the week at any level of footie, never mind pro footie! Compare that with the Richarlison red card in the EPL match, Bournemouth v Everton - head butt and red card given out to Richarlison! I'm watching another failure of a referee somehow trying to alter the rules of footie!!!! Why? A simple decision violated again!! Also what is going on with the ref monitoring system that the SFA supposedly deploy? That system should be "weeding out" these poor refs if it was being applied properly to improve the Scottish game as much as they can. Lastly, why was that "stonewall" pk not given to Hibs early in the 1st half against Aberdeen defender, Considine!!!!??? Absolutely baffling and we are already observing AGAIN how certain Scot refs are definitely gonna affect where we end up in the league at the end of this season - a f####### joke!!!
